i'm not sure what KAM is saying about the concave design. if the blast itself was, say, sentinel/forest annihilating size, how in hell would a concave design help? sure, all of the blast that hits caps shield will be sprayed away thanks to the design, but then there is the whole shitload of blast that doesn't contact the shield at all. rather, it contacts cap's former skull.

Yep. The shield simply doesn't cover Cap's entire body, even if he squats. Widebeam WILL hit him.
And even Cap can't tank a full powered blast. He's not Iron Fist. 🙂

Anyways, when I clicked this I was 100% sure it would be a hand to hand fight between these two, but apparently it's not. I can't figure out how Captain America can win..I'm pretty sure Cyclops could widen his beams those preventing Cap from being able to block the entire blast with his shield. Unless the shield can absorb blasts that are much larger then it?
Cyclops tells Cap to get off his lawn. Then Professor X comes in and slaps the shit out of Cyclops and reminds him it's his f*cking lawn. Cyclops is then so distraught he goes and makes out with Emma Frost on top of Jean Grey's grave.
