Many of those were collections of rubbish, written up with a healthy loading of tree brain ink. Nobody wants something crazy near them.

As opposed to the ones they decided to include? Revelations sounds like something a meth addict would write.

Like with Genesis, it's hard to interpret the long future or past. It's littered with metaphors, and that makes it harder. But I ignore it most of the time, as it might well be like looking at the last page of a good book before getting halfway through, if I can understand it. It's one of the less important ones, as it's just prophesying. It might be important to future people, for verification, but in this day and age who cares?

am an open minded christian, i respect and study other religiong and sience, but i think the poll is really dull, who do u think will win?? what does it mean??? i agree with einstein, would u imagine a world without religions i know some ppl might think it would b great, but many ppl follow their religions rules, if nobody obeys any religions, the court would b like a 'god' and a religios world without sience? 😘
a world without religions would be fantastic!

well, religion is how you explain your existence.... if you say the world was created by a god, then its your religion and if you say the world was created by the big-bang, ...then its your religion!
a world without churches would be fantastic! 😉 😛

but i think actually you cant compare sience and church because many scientists believe in the big-bang theory and in a god, or in something else thats able to control the universe...
so... i say sience, but as sience doesnt exclude religion, ive got a religion too....

Science and religion are two different maps of the same territory, one day a territory we will know so well, we won't need either map.

you can't compare them

science = facts
religion = love (well that's what it's suppose to be 😛)

Old thread, buddy.

Science will win out one day, as someone has already said, religion doesn't cure disease.

who said religion has to?

Science and Religion are two things you just can't compare. Science is all facts, it's the study of the physical and natural world. Religion is a way of life, it's people's beliefs and opinions.

science = faith or belief in empirism.

religion = faith or belief in god and things related to it.

Theres a famous quote by Einstein that goes something like

"Science without religion is dull, religion without science is pointless"

I don't know where you got that but that's BS and was made up by religios dicks. You can't admit it but, what has religion done for us:

Confused us!
Robbed us!
Killed us!
Made us argue!
Started wars!
Tortured us!
Changed our lives!
Made us turn down science and technology!
and worst of all, PISSED US OFF!

imo, we would be better off without religion, I mean Native Americans and Native Australians had no religion AND no wars/fights/arguments or anything like that! Because their was no jesus, muhammed or anyone else like that. The bible doesn't want you to know but, Jesus wasn't the only "sun of god" their were many others that healed people but christians tried to erase them from history.

What?

The Native Americans and the Australians have beautiful and insightful religions. I think you are just making some of this up.

the natives. No white man involved. If their was a problem they'd all talk about it and discuss it together. Kinda like communism but without technology.

But they still had their own religions. I think you are trying to talk about Christianity, but you are throwing all religions in the same pot. There are some religions in the world that are good and benefit people and nature.

Well, "White man" set the rules for everyone else to follow... 😉

Religion qualifies.

Whoooooo I like Albert......And I know that quote......But I think he more meant not really religion, but a believe in something bigger than religion. Not the dogma, but the connection that there was some intelligence .....Something grand!
