One way of looking at this is asking the question, how many battles have been ended by Spider-man that Batman couldn't have begun without a lot of prep-time?
First example: a realistic ( Not 1960's ) Hulk that is truly enraged.
second, Firelord ( whether anyone likes or not it was written fairly and Firelord didn't want to Nuke Spidey he wanted to defeat him with his skills. He had earlier been wandering space bored and disgusted with those skills saying that they were being put to waste.
Those skills failed to be enough.)
Third is Wolverine.... Please disagree with that...I really want you to do that...
Fourth is Doc Ock... Because Batman wouldn't survive as Many encounters as Spidey has without killing or being killed....

What I can't believe is that a character could have so many haters that a fight that is within the character's abilitys to succeed and is in CONTINUITY...is made...AGAINST THE RULES!!!??? 😑

Firelord is a lousy fighter, was acting arrogant and depended way too much on his firepowers. And he isn't half as durable as some people think.
But Batman punching Hulk in a way that Hulk actually feels it, that's of course 100 % acceptable. Nuking Wolverine : no big deal either.

Orion was coming to the rescue, but Batman, who FELT danger was approaching, just knocked him out with one punch, a punch that combined all the power of 127 different martial arts.
