Superman, bah. Either way, IMDB hasn't exactly been inaccurate about much, so I don't understand where everyone gets off about it sucking. Either way, like I said before, the whole thing is leading up to Venom coming around. He's one of the villains that people want to see. The top three known Spidey villains are Green Goblin, Venom, and Doc Ock. Usually, when you say the words Spider-Man villain, the first two come up in thought, like Red Skull and Captain America, X-Men and Magneto, and so forth. Although Sony hasn't confirmed anything yet, there are reports of Topher Grace building a lot of muscle up. Even if there is no Venom, there will be an Eddie Brock.
I agree with the Spider-Man: Green Goblin, Doctor Octopus and Venom...
But, we are not talking about Venom here, we are talking about topher Grace. We are talking about who Topher Grace will be and not who Venom will be. This is what many people are mistaking here.

It just doesnt make sense. Casting has been so well done. I mean why on earth would they make such a poor casting call?
Im seriously going to stick to the idea that Topher is going to be Electro. Although I'm not sure what to think about that. We all saw how badly they converted the GG's costume (Hello power ranger goblin). I don't even want to see how bad Electro would look.

I agree.Look at Willem Dafoe,Alfred Molina and Thomas Haden Church.They all look like the villains they were cast as.
Why would Raimi do a complete polar opposite for Eddie Brock?? Makes no sense.
Which is why I believe,and hope,he is not Venom.Not to mention there couldn't be nearly enough screen time to do Venom right.

um, I DID watch the dvd featurettes for sp1 and 2. and i didnt see any 'muscle suit' all i saw was something called 'stretch fabric' which looks crumpled if unworn, and would only look proper when on someone and its not a swimsuit from nike. The Suit also has painted 'shadows' on the suit to look like 'abs' and etc.
Ock can you confirm anything about the suit??
I don't think Raimi would screw up the Electro costume. If he used the original "starfish face" version it would look bad, but I don't think he would, seeing as he changed Ock for the better...Goblin was worse, but it wasn't horrendous. If I'd have done it I'd have had the same thing but with a dark purple cloak thing around it. The mask I thought was great and the suit made sense, but he lacked the cloak and that's what was bad about it.
Electro I think he would make just someone who becomes electrified like the MTV Spider-Man's version of Dillon.

Nope.I saw what you saw.They suit is spandex,made of stretch fabric.There was no muscle padding.
Any muscle you saw was Maguire's or the stunt man in the suit.

yeah, they got some fresh face comedy actor to 'supposedly' be eddie brock. i dont even think there will be any eddie brock and symbiote thing cuz i think they said sp3 will end the trilogy for good.

I think he means when the muscle ripped thru the Spidey costume,when he was stopping the train.
All they had to do was do a close up of a piece of blue material ripping on an arm.It's not hard 😉
