The way I see it, if the actor can do it well then let them. Regardless of how "pretty" they are. Anyways, I'd like to see another pure evil villain. Raimi turned Doc Ock into this huge sympathy case and made him a hero at the end. My guess is them pulling another one of those out for Lizard, Harry as GG2, and probably even a little with Venom. I don't really know the Sandman so whatever with him. Carnage would just be a welcome real villain, evil to the core. Anyways, I'll be done with Carnage discussion since it torments some of you so much.
well sure they actor might be able to do it, its just how people would react. "what the hell, the dude from that 70s show is venom? that'll be a hell of a fight, two pussys" (what my friend told me a while ago). Thats why I understand why they wanted to find an unknown actor for the role of superman (although bryan singer is a dumbass)

as for sean william scott as carnage, no way, the dudes picture is in like every highschool girls locker...i dont want any pretty boy to play a crazy serial killer, same goes with the Joker for batman begins sequel.
You shouldn't judge actors on their popularity, you should judge them on their warpable looks, and their talent. Look at Brittany Murphy - if you look at her as only the girl from Clueless, would you have cast her in Sin City? No, and didn't she do a great job? Yes.

I don't know who you'd cast, I couldn't possibly, but that wasn't my point. My point was that you can't just say that because Scott is on girls lockers, that he couldn't play certain roles. Girls have Brad Pitt on their lockers, and you've seen what versatility he has.
yeah i guess im wrong and youre right.
*ignores fight*
To be honest, I don't think they would kill off Eddie, mostly becaue of the sheer fact that he's a character that's worth keeping around. I mean, he's had about 90 comics in his name. Spidey doesn't have another villain with that kind of development. Other people may argue that Spidey has better villains, but Venom is the best developed.
Here ya go dude! 😄
Daredevil vol. 1, #323, Dec. 1993 issue! 😱

Hope that helps!
Like I've said before, Venom has a lot of potential. I guess there was a huge fascination of who Venom could take and who he couldn't. Lest we forget that in the animated series he held off Iron Man and War Machine, and Spidey and Carnage. He's a beast. The only person he never bested at least once I think has probably been Scarlet Spider. I'm not really suprised that Murdock held him off, because he's just that awesome.
