If they would make a 5 hour Spider-Man film fans would love it...

5 Hours? Get real. The Lord Of The Rings films were too long for me. That's like watching an entire season of 24 as a movie. 🤪

Yeah, if it was actually a movie starring Spider-Man and not the simpering oaf that's been chewing scenery for two films now.

Shut Up! Tobey is a very good actor. 😒

did he post it here though if so what page?

You shut up. It has absolutely nothing to do with Tobey Maguire. It has to do with the script and the director. Tobey is perfectly capable of playing the role of Spider-Man properly, just like Alfred Molina is more than perfectly capable of playing Dr. Octopus properly, but both were given sub-par scripts and sub-par direction.

Alright some people took what I said in different ways from what it was intended to be.

I thought it was implied just out of movie knowledge that a 5 hour film would have an intermission, first off...not 5 hours straight of sitting in a theatre seat.

LOTR was boring because of Jackson. Look at how King Kong is doing because of its length - he doesn't edit for story and content, he just keeps a lot of things in and goes "its unnecessary...but...eh, I shot it right?"

Some of you think that I meant a 5 hour Spider-Man film like the ones we've been having, just longer. Good lord no. I would not be able to sit through that long full of whining and whatnot. I'm talking about a 5 hour Spider-Man film that has several villains in it and is an epic story. Think about a film that can successfully introduce the whole Venom origin (with the symbiote and all of that), plus have some emotional stuff going on, and some minor villains like Shocker and Rhino. First two and a half hours focus on the symbiote (with Peter facing Shocker and Rhino to show off his augmented powers), plus some Harry stuff and some MJ crap. Then there's the church scene, and he gets rid of the symbiote, and we have intermission. We come back from intermission and Venom is the focus, with some GOOD emotional stuff (like Brock tormenting Parker through Mary Jane and Aunt May). Finally ends with Brock being sent to Ravencroft, where in the cell next to him is a freakshow of a person...you guessed it, good old CK.

so it would be like 'episodes'

ok for those who hate chocolate girl... imagine megan fox in her place
i know i am

Thre will be no Carnage. They're not gonna air a film with a Serial Killer that attacks with Axes and knives. Be realistic.

well.. where um we know that

Well, I'd like to a see a rated R Spider-Man movie, but for it to succeed, you'd need 1)An A list director that can make it violent and tasteful 2)Amazing acting and casting 3)Someone who can play a psycho like Cassady well. Even then, it's a long shot to have Carnage in a movie.

sadness

I think Raimi could pull it off, the psycho casting, but I don't know how the movie would go..

if true: i doubt raimi could make any more good casting decisions after the casting of kirsten dunst as mj, topher as eddie brock (rumour) and bryce howard as gwen...

Carnage obviously won't be in this film, but that doesn't mean he doesn't have a shot at being in future ones (if they make them). He is after all a fan favorite and a large character in the Spider-Man saga.

Casting-wise...I'd say Brad Pitt or Sean William Scott would be a good choice - either them or Jake Busey (if he lost weight).

I hope they could find a way to slip Carnage in there. He could be so interesting.

I vote Sean William-Scott.

Sean Williams Scott would make a good Deadpool, but if you want a good Carnage, you need someone insane with a cool laugh. If he were younger, I'd say Ralph Fiennes. As for Venom, I think Topher could do it, but I think that maybe Scott Speedman could have done it. If he beefed up a little more, he'd look like Brock with long hair. Ah, for Carnage, Steve Zahn could do it if he got a lesson in intensity and crazy.

When I left Spiderman 2, I really thought we were getting Lizard and GG2. That would be awesome, but now Sandman is in there and really ruining things for me.

Fiennes is a great actor, but idk if I see him as Carnage.

Speedman, yeah I have to agree with you, he does look a lot like Brock and would be a better choice (if bulked up of course).

Zahn...hm, maybe. Never thought about him. http://www.hotflick.net/flicks/2001_Joy_Ride/Thumb/001JRD_Steve_Zahn_007.jpg
