I don't think that's ever happened before. With Superman Returns, it'll seem stupid but the people will still see a new movie and won't think "What happened to Clark's face?".
But for Spidey, its likely they'll be popping this films out in a nice order. I guess it's not that big of a deal, but it'll certaintly be something new.
And the Batman flicks can't be used as an example, cuz they all sucked. BB does it all over again with Bale, and that's how it's gonna stay.

Yeah, I agree. Unless they make it a long movie. They considered using the black cat in the second film, and had a nice story written out for her to be competition for M.J. But they felt they would need more time for Doc Ock, so they put away that story. Arad said that we might still see her though(yes, the friggin SpiderMan 2 DVD again). If they cant do two in the last movie, I think there will be no main villain but maybe 2 or 3 villains, or else the movie will be long. I in no way mind that, Id like it as a matter of fact, but I dont think theyll make it that long. I hope they make it as long as they have to to make it a good movie, though.Goblin, maybe Black Cat, Lizard,and set ups for the fourth film. Or maybe Cat will be in a later film. Who knows? Well it will be good.

Hmm... so they probably didn't seriously consider putting the Black Cat's plot in the space filled by all that useless MJ/Peter angst filler material, and they figured Octavius would have been shortchanged if they'd used the Black Cat. So, we're now left with a product that supposedly didn't short-change Dr Octopus. Stupid Marvel Films...

Well what I said came right from Avi Arad. Yeah I know bad idea though.
Topher Grace is one of the new villians and the other is supposedly that Hayden Church dude(not the one from SW Ep.III but the guy from Sideways). Grace is a little guy so I was thinking they would cast him as Carnage. Though Church looks like Sandman, he would have to be Venom(if Grace is Carnage). Venom and Carnage would be the best matchup in a two villian Spidey flick.
