I personally like Venom... infact, because of Venom, I've collected all first symbiote appearances just because the story is very interesting to see Spider-Man fight others who are stronger and possess the same abilities.

But I hate all Venom fanboys that come on to these boards and constantly say, and hope, that either Venom or Carnage will be in S3...

It makes the characters seem overrated, and makes it seem that the only reason they're in the comics in the first place is because Marvel wanted to make a quick buck from the franchise.

For someone like me, who has read and has respected ol' Spider-Man classics for a long while now, it's okay to like Venom, Carnage, and now, Toxin, as long as you realize that, "The New Kids On the Block" can never take the "True Spotlight" from the original "Old School" characters...

As for the Venom/Symbiote fanboys, who usually show little or no Spider-Man knowledge period, you can all just DIE because you're not just pissing people off, but you're also ruining Venom's name, more so than it already has been.

I've always considered Venom a classic character as well, and I thought the issues of the late 80s and early 90s that he appeared in were wonderful reads, though I did find most of his endings quite... sketchy, but still very well done IMO

During the whole Maximum Carnage thing, when they first gave Venom his own title, I figured it was a good idea, at the time, until the Seperation Anxiety issues came out... then I found it went down hill from there. They totally destroyed his originality from that point on... to the point where they started creating BS like the Tsunami/Venom series... like, who the **** wrote that shit? And who the **** drew it? It's almost as if some Japanese whore was trying to get to a Manga studio, but got lost and ended up at a Marvel studio.

The only thing close to the Original Venom, that I've read, that was recently written on him were the Venom/Carnage titles... even then they screwed his character up by teaming him up with Carnage.

I think its all dwn to todd mcfarlen when hes drawing him ppl rember oh there is a good way of writing a venom story he also drew him the best seconded by john romita jr (my fav artist) johnys version just looks more evil, hes better at drawing teeth. But i only like venom in spider-man storys. I quite liked maximum carnage untill around the end when they had so many heroes and villains and then crangae being taken out by being pushed into a generator how lame was tht. but the start was good.

I think we're getting off subject here.. I've 99.999% sure that Venom's not going in the movie. If he somehow miraculously does show up (I'm saying Venom, not Eddie Brock, he still might show up), I will pay whoever said that he will be in the movie $100. Fair?

Im 100% sure he wont be in it, just to much of a drastic story change
