You know, I wasn't going to vote this year but...

I always vote, that away I can think at least I did something to bring changes instead of sitting on my ass doing nothing but complain.
If you dont vote you cant complain either, you have to do an effort to help the parts that will create the changes you wish for

You said it finti! 👆

I probably won't be voting this year. I don't like either candidate, therefor, I don't like the idea of voting for either of them. If I vote it will be for someone I actually like, not this "lesser of two evils" bullshit that people keep spewing.

It's not like it matters, the last election showed us all that voting doesn't reall make a difference anyways, a guy can win the presidency without even getting the most votes. Lame. I want nothing to do with any of this crap.

There isn't a draft currently, even though our armed forces in Iraq are nearly 30% of the military forces we have there.

There are still A LOT of reserves left in the US.

So you think that on our current path of "trying to spread democracy and freedom" that we will not exceed our capacity, and your prediction is that there will be no draft at any time in the next four year if Bush is elected? I hope that your right, but i doubt it....

Out of curiosity are you of draft age?

Yes he is.

People in Norway dont take Bush as a serious politician we are humored by that he even is a presidential candidate. That a large country like the US cant come up with better choices than the two clowns as it has to fight for the presidency, the most powerful position in the world, is just unbeliveable. I hope for you sake that ther are a lot of good people serving the important offices for these two smucks.

No disrespect of the American people cause you deserve a hell lot of better choices than these two morons

i am only just old enough to vote .. but i dont kno if i coan b bothered to ..

I am so sick and tired of mine and other people's days being ruined by people whining, complaining, and crying over this political election. F***ing babies, for God's sake. People are b*tching and moaning, threatening to leave the US if a certain candidate wins, and the like.
I hope they do leave; I'll be the first to escort their ass out.

But what really gets me are the celebrities. Okay, if you are actually influenced by an individual with ZERO political experience then you don't need to be voting anyway. And they are the biggest whiners of them all. Start with the Susan Sarandon/Tim Robbins clan, and you could probably work backwards from there.

So all the idiots who thought by throwing a temper tantrum ("if they don't win I'll leave the country" is equivalent to "I'm telling my mommy"-type talk) is going to get my vote....well my normal non-vote has now turned in the other direction for the SOLE purpose of what I just explained.

And yes, I'm complaining about complaining, but I've never done it before and don't dedicate part of my life to doing it, unlike some others. Just thought I'd get that off my chest.

That is one of the stupidest things I've ever heard! schmoll
Your going to base your vote entirly on a candidate just to spite bitchy, moany, whining celebrities who are exercising their freedom of speech?

Those celebrities have good reason to b!tch and whine!

Get over it! baby

thats too bad because as you probably don't know that a citizen of the united states has a civic responsibility to vote. you live in this country and get all of its oppurtunities and chances, yet you give nothing back. just proves my theory on how americans are ignorant and incredibly stupid.

That's what taxes are for, to give back to the country, get your head out of your ass. Voting is not a responsibility. There is absolutely no reason to vote if you don't like either candidate.

I'm not voting for that exact reason, I don't like either candidate more then the other, so I don't want to vote for either one. It's very logical if you think about it.

baby

It's my choice! If I’ve never voted in my life (like many others) and have just decided to now – regardless of the reasons - then who cares? Why should you care? I and pretty much no else gives a damn about you, so why waste your time worrying about my choice? I guess that’s my freedom of speech, thank you very much.

So what if I think it’s stupid that celebrities voice their uninformed opinion about politics? Looks like someone else did as well because they started another thread about the topic. Who knows, celebrities may know more than you do about it, so I may be targeting the wrong people.

BTW, the “baby” smilie in your post is ill-timed because I already explained in my original post that I admit I’m whining about whining. It’s also ironic if you think about it. Take that however you want.

And yes, I know Tex, you are a very popular KMC member and have way more than my 900 posts here at KMC, and there’s a certain degree of respect to go with that, but I don’t just sit idly to posts like the one you had.

Okay, here is the thread starter of the other thread I mentioned above.

First of all, I am not going to take anyone seriously who posts regularly in the POTC forum, especially when it comes to being called “ignorant and incredibly stupid.” If I was going to take it seriously, then I would say that yes, I do know it’s a civic responsibility but I have just never partook in it. To assume that I don’t puts the “ignorant and incredibly stupid” tag right back at you. Well, I would say that now that I have decided to vote then I guess I have at least took a step in the direction, regardless of how meaningless you think the motive is.

Waiting on “extremely political” and “U R ignerrantt” return replies from Tex and beaujay1 in 3, 2, 1, …

Actually if you base your choice of voting because of some celeb then you should reconsider your decision to vote.
You have to make up your own mind why you are gonna vote the way you are. It is only you who can deceide on that and if that choice are influenced by ohers espesially a celeb you sell out big time.

Oh pah-lease!
Dont flatter yourself! schmoll

You opened a thread, making statements, naturally wanting members to leave comments.

Which I did.

You should answer your own questions above, as to why you "waste your time worrying" about celebrities candidate choices!

Dont get your thong in a knot botankus-babe! winkiss

What is the greatest number of parties that have run for the general elections? 😮

For the sake of avoiding a meaningless ping-pong b*tch-fest extending into the weekend, where I probably won't be around to respond anyways, let's just end it right here.

I'll take my "ignorant and stupid" reasoning for voting and you can take your close-minded "my way or the highway" thought process and we should call it a day. Which, I'm sure, we wouldn't even be having this discussion if I had said Republicans annoy me so I'm going to vote Democrat. 😉
