DBZ was orginally created to mainly look at Gohan, but instead looked at Goku. Dunno how they could've done Gohan to be honest, it'd be a story about a half Saiyan, but why not do a story about a proper Saiyan such as Goku?
If they were to do it on Gohan, he wouldn't have been partly Saiyan, he'd have to be full human but could take on the Saiyan's, Freiza, Cell, Buu etc...that's a super human!

Well at first Toriyama wanted to end dragonball with the Freeza saga,so at first it was all about Goku but after the Freeza saga it was about Gohan.

Doesn't matter what you think, no DBZ character can lift 180,000 tons. If Goku can't even lift a measily 40 tons in his base form, what makes you think he could lift 180,000 tons at the SSJ3 level? It's impossible. At maximum he could probably lift 300-1,000 tons. Gohan at maxiimum can probably lift a little more because he's a lot stronger than Goku by the end of the series. Either way, no DBZ character can or will ever be able to lift 180,000 tons.

I'm sure that Vegetto can go higher than SSJ1 or SSJ2. In the latest issue of Shonen Jump, Vegetto says to Super Buu with Gohan absorbed, ''C'mon! Make me use my full power!''. Although this may not be what he said in the actual manga, Goku has the ability to go SSJ3 so Vegetto should be able too because he's half of Goku which means he has some of Goku's knowledge.
We don't know if he can. I mean lets say Super Buu has the power to at least be as strong as SSJ 3 or maybe 4. Goku can go SSJ 3 and Vegeta can go SSJ 2. 3 + 2 = (God help me) 5. And Vegeto seemed to show the equivalent of that.
If thats not the case then thats just stupidly ridiculasly strong, even by DBZ's standards.
