Gay people can fire guns too. Unless of course the military are so moral that they don't want gays around them while they're killing civilians.

yea that really doesnt make much sense huh?

It always strikes me as funny that the physical act of homosexual love is considered gross by many, if you consider the fact that something like 78% of straight guys have the distinct desire to F their respective girl friends in the B

lol...interesting signature.

They do? Never had that desire...

I'm to lazy to read a 104 pages so i'm just going to state my own oppinion and hope what i'm about to say isn't said a million times already...

No homosexuality is not a choice, homosexuality is nothing new either... It has been around since the beginning of time and it is a natural thing...

Their are homosexual animals, and there are plenty of ancient gay or bisexual people. During ancient greece for instance it was something completly normal to have sexual relations with both man and woman, you probably all know Alexander the great, he is considered a brilliant general and fighter and a great leader.

He was both bisexual and in love with his mother, this guy wouldn't have been as popular by modern standards, but you can hardly deny the great things he has done (threw wars I mean). So that gays can not fight is absolute bullshit, not only can they fight. A guy that sleeps with other guys is one of the greatest generals in history if not the greatest.

Back to the thing i was talking about before..

If homosexuality was something unnatural then there would not be gay animals, unless you wish to claim that animals are against nature?

If homosexuality was a choice why would people ever make that choice, one of my best friends is a lesbian... You woudln't believe the hard time she had when she had to tell her parents she was gay, she told me first... I spend weeks trying to talk her into telling it, comforting her, telling her people would accept her for what she was. She would never have been gay if it was a choice. Very few people would be, its something completly natural that you have no control over what so ever.

Kudos Fishy! At least there are SOME people who are well-read on this subject.

it's genetic...it's a choice weather the person wants others to know.

WOW!!! this thread is up again....all homos go to hell

Just kidding 😄 , a person falls for whom ever they choose... it just happens...to me there is no gay homosexuals or any of that and i think more people should see it that way as well....Love is love regardless of who is it....

Something has struck me here in the debate…
We use the fact, that no one would willing CHOOSE to be homosexual with all the prejudice as an argument in favour of genetics.

But why exactly is it that some people have this childish fear of homosexuals? I’ve brought this up before, because what should it matter what consenting adults do in their bedroom? Why do some people care so much about that?
Are there any people here who have “a thing” against homosexuals and who can argue their standpoint WITHOUT using religion?

People fear what they don't understand and what is different to them. Plus, lets not forget the stupidity factor, which is almost always involved.

BTW, nice to see you back around Omega, I missed you.

It is all the things you guys mention. But, not only they are ignorant, misguided by their religion(which is basically redundant with ignorance) as well as fear of what they don't understand. But, also, there is a fear of what they are. Lots of the most vocal anti gay rhetoric is espoused by people who are gay themselves, but won't accept that it's nothing bad. They may not be outright gay, but they've had a moment to themselves...which they resent about themselves. Also, there is fear to be the first one to say there's nothing wrong with it. What highschool guy, standing around with his friends in the parking lot after school when the "***" walks by is gonna be the one to say: "comeon you guys, there's nothing wrong with Billy being gay." No one in their right mind, unless they want to catch hell for it.

So, to sum it up:

1:fear of what they don't understand
2:fear of being mocked by other straight guys/girls in the group
3:fear of themselves
4:ignorance

•Thats werid
•╚ast but not least, thats still werid

BF> Nice to be missed 🙂
(It just takes a toll on a gal to get a divorce and stuff.)

You’re probably right about the “we fear what we don’t understand, and we hate what we fear.” I suppose it’s the group-mentality/identification-factor, and without that at such a fundamental level as gender/attraction there’s a kind of discord for some people.

Capt> “Lots of the most vocal anti gay rhetoric is espoused by people who are gay themselves, but won't accept that it's nothing bad.” Now, THAT is probably all too true.

”They may not be outright gay, but they've had a moment to themselves...” Wasn’t it Freud or Jung who once claimed that we are ALL bisexual at some level?

So, to sum it up:

1:fear of what they don't understand
2:fear of being mocked by other straight guys/girls in the group
3:fear of themselves
4:ignorance

So we’re back a society lacking the fundamental acceptance I guess. But MOSTLY among men! I’ve had my “lesbian” experience when I was younger, and my girlfriends don’t faint when I tell them. I know a lot of guys who’ve had a “gay” experience, and who’ll tell me, but NEVER tell “the guys.”
I suppose we need a feminisation of society! 😉

Actually everybody being bisexual might not be that far fetched, the only problem is that apparantly 80% of the population is to scared to admit it and just stay with the side that attracts them most...

Still if you look at times when homosexuality was nothing bad a lot of people had both male and female lovers... I very much doubt they just decided to have sex with both sexes because it was the normal thing to do, they were probably attracted to both sides, especially seeing as it didn't matter in that time who'm or what you have had sex with... As long as you made children once in a while

hello you eyes

Soth, you pose a Great question.
I honestly think it is a choice.

I want be too mean to you Heather 29 but I just have to do one thing ......... 🙄 ppplllllllzzzzzzzzzzz

well wow fishy that is a ver ygood thought about things, but why must people hate others from trying to love?

peeople see two dogs humping and laugh, they see two men and they freak out, it doesnt make sense to me, it's not we are gonna go out and rape every guy we see. People need tolerence or everythign falls apart.

-J.D.

because one of the dogs could have been female *shrugs* 😛

I think homosexuality is a personal choice, u like who u like and no one can stop u. But personally I think homosexuality is a sin because God didn't create
Adam and Eve for lesbian and gay relationships, that's why he created opposite sexes. Just my personal opinion...no harm intended for those who are

It all depends on weather you believe in God in the first place! 😉 to believe its a sin, or its wrong. to some people its not because they don't believe in god and his camandments!
