Homosexuality: Chosen or Genetic?

I think people's masculinity and feminity are on a sliding scale.
If a boy is born with a 40% masculine and 60% feminine he will have a soft voice and act more girly than a boy born 70% 30%. Then I think environment kicks in.

Look at all the butch lesbians......they are women but they look rugged and manly.

I think nature has a huge part in it, but people will often conform due to their society's standards.

This is all a theory I came up with. Alot of gay guys end up being models due to them being closer to a woman genetically.

i know... i also believe enviroment does matter a little bit... and not because ure parents are homophobic catholics means u couldnt've lived in an enviroment that allowed u to show ure feminine side

That theory is flawed. According to you all lesbians are butch and manly. And all gay men are feminine and girly. So what do you look for? Girly gay men and butch lesbians. But that's only the surface. These people choose to appear this way. But most gay people act like normal everyday people. I suggest you read up on homosexuality. Gays aren't all like Boy George. Watch the Real World. They have several gay women and men who are outside the stereotype.

actually not, he doestnt mean that all lesbians are fat body builders, and all gays are cosmetic freaks, no, he means that they USUALLY have more developed feminine side... at least i think he does.. 😕

I disagree with this statement. I believe homosexuality is a condition that causes the emotion of lust/love/attraction/what-have-you for members of the same gender.

A condition? It's an predetermination or orientation. But not a condition.

I don't think the theory was flawed, as such, but it was a massive generalisation. He/she didn't say all lesbians are butch and manly, simply that there is a majority. Or, in the public eye, there is a majority. There are stereotypes everywhere, camp gay men and butch gay women are just two.
