Green Day: American Idiot

My favourite green day album is personally dookie but i also have 1039/Smooth Out Slappy Hours, nimrod, kerplunk, american idiot, and warning. and yes american idiot is good but in it's own way. personally i liked the old green day stuff.

Dookie is the only album that I never skip a song.(Out of all my collection.Not just Green Day.)

I was never really into greenday. I heard of em, but didn't pay any attention to their music. But when I heard "American idiot" on MTV and "boulevard of broken dreams", I HAD to buy the album.
After that I bought "Dookie". I'm not really a punk fan, but I love greenday now.

Well if you would actualy listen to anything BESIDES Blvrd of Broken Dreams/ American idiot you would actually realize they are floating away from mainstream. Much of American Idiot (the album) sounds nothing like any of the mainstream "pop punk" bands. But I do find it weird that Billie Joe is wearing eye liner 😑

i was watching the making of the 'Boulevard of broken dreams'./

apart from the song, which i really liked, the director made a pretty good job in its making.

They had to hire a huge hangar at an airport for the projections in the background of the vid, which they had previously recorded on the streets & desert. The projector they used for that was an really old, bulky one i assume like the ones they used in drive-ins in the 1970s.

what surprised me was they showed us how to obtain those effects on the reel, by blowing smoke on it, running a razor blade across it and actually stubbing out cigarettes on it
