The Force is telling you that it is important you pay notice to him saying he's guarding... he can explain who bled here, perhaps even why and where the person is now... (because you with your cunning eyes of course noticed that the woman your buddy is with didn't bleed anywhere near her wrists as the cuffs suggest)

"Come on, don't do this to me! I know nothing, I can't help you with anything at all. Just let me go and you can leave this place unharmed, if not, this place is full with SEALS and we need to be in constant radiocheck and they'll find you with ease. Let it be here or the snipers at the gate."

Andrew holds the guard's head to the floor very strongly, then he stops and Andrew asks "Listen to me you son of a *****, you want to live? you'll tell me everything I want to know, and I'll feel most sorry if you don't have the answers cause I'd have to... kill you"
Andrew stops for a minute to let the fear crawl inside the guard's body.
"Now, question A, whose blood is that?" Andrew points at the blood.
PS: What do you mean "isn't that where Pete went"? Pete is going to the gate?

I'll answer your PS's first:
1) Pete is SS, you two went to the first floor. though he took the scenery route by lift and you by stairs. The gate is the entrance of the building, so if they have snipers there, it is clear that your teammate might get shot if they see something weird about him
2) there are snipers at the exit
for the story:
The guard breaths heavily, trying to move his head to get pressure of his neck.
He tries to make eyecontact, in an attempt to calm you down.
"I ... I don't know! Really!"
He closes his eyes and tries to regain his composure.
"It'll probably be from the prisoner we had, but I'm not sure."

Before the guard is able to answer Andrew stands up and says "Ill give u time to think about the asnwers" He takes his cellphone out of his pocket and dials pete's number.
