actually. Dubya is best at town hall meetings... namely this form of "debate"... 😐 ... Kerry has said some of his most memorable quotes during town meetings (the whole i origninally voted for the war before i voted against it thing 😐 )... 😬 he would have better luck if he sent edwards to do this rather 😛
"Town meeting", that's an overstatement.
The questions are turned in, in advance and Charley Gibson decides which people get their questions answered.
Then when Charley calls on them to state their questions, they have to ask exactly like they wrote their questions, because if they stray Charlie will stop them.
And the candidates are not allowed to follow up on the questions by asking the questioners further questions.

Kerry is speaking right now, and answering a question about would he have followed the same plan as Bush to remove troops in the near future from Iraq.
Kerry said, no, he would keep the troops in Iraq because Bush's plan hadn't worked, and there was choas in Iraq.
Last Friday, at the Forgien Policy Debate, Kerry said he would remove troops as soon as he got in office, and that Bush was wrong to go to war.
