Presidential Debate

You have a good point there--and I think part of the reason so many people voted for Bush is because they saw Gore as too much of an intellectual, which scares a lot of people for some reason. Can't say I blame them though, I always found it odd how he never used contractions...

Though I don't believe Bush is purposefully coming off as stupid, I think he really is pretty dumb. Making mistakes pronouncing simple words like "underestimated" will not make you seem pleasently average like so many Americans identify with, it will make you seem like a dumbass.

"You have a good point there--and I think part of the reason so many people voted for Bush is because they saw Gore as too much of an intellectual"

Yeah, because God forbid we have an intelegent person running this country.

Stupid people like other stupid people I guess.

hysterical exactly.... he plays the average guy act 😛 😂

I really don't think it's an act.

i don't know... its hard to say due to the fact that there are a lot of image specialist hired by either party who constantly advise and can make anyone look like anything 😉

Well I really doubt anyone tells Bush "Hey, go out there and **** up a bunch of words during your speech, and make funny faces that borderline or downsyndrome. Mispronouce "Strategy" and confuse the words 'hostile and hostage'".

I'm sure they try to get Bush to look as intelegent as possible, that's why you sometimes hear him attempt to use a big word that you just KNOW isn't in his actual vocabulary.

hysterical very true 😂

of course taking that road tells the public not to question too much because you wont get too many answers.... which plays quite well into ones hands. Remember that this guy is a recovering alchoholic and more then likely that killed off A LOT of brain cells hysterical

heh, indeed.

I'll say that if he is just acting like a dumbass, he's doing a damn fine job of it.

hysterical yup i will vouche for that hysterical

Likewise 😂

I have been actually watching these debates with some interest (not easy in Australia), and I am finding it quite interesting the debate that has sprung up about the big bulge in Bush's Blazer..... so, was he wired? Is he a puppet to somebody of stage? Or is it all a coincidence.......?......................

🤨 ever heard of frisking before entering the stage? and pencils? why the hell would if he was wired would he use such a visible wire? the CIA has listening and transmitting devices that can fit the whole package in your ear 😂

he did have a strange bulge on his back.
something was under his jacket

You guys always give into these conspiracy theories. They said the same thing about Kerry in the first debate...about him having a cheat guide...and now Bush wired...come on...I don't believe either of them...why would Bush need to cheat? He knows what he has to say...I think its Kerry that needs that cheat sheet...to show him where he stands...where was it he stands again?

Pencils? The bulge was in the middle of his back and boxed shaped..... although, true, one would wonder why he would use such a bulky unit, perhaps it was very short notice, and all they could get was some manner of 70's model transmitter, reciever.

good job buying into what the Bush campaign says about flip-flops, cause you know Kerry is the only politician to ever say one thing and do another...cough Bush cough.

I am not saying its true or not, merely that a lot of media analysis has gone into it, and there seems to be something there. Also, apparently, according to the Sydney Morning Herald (kind of Australia's prime, reliable news paper), who has analysed it, Bush seemed to act strange, other then the bulge, they claim "at times stopped and seemed to be waiting for some prompt" and "complained of being interrupted despite no such visible interruption occurring......". Conspiracy? Maybe. Possible? I think so. Entertaining? A big yes.

the bulge:

this is George Bush we're talking about people.

That isn't some "fact giving box" or form of information passer. The guy probably just put on the blazed without taking off the damn coat hanger.

You seriously give him entirely too much credit.

If that's the case, he's on the level of Homer or Ralph's intelligence, therefore, shouldn't be leading anything, especially the United States government.
