As far as using it for political gain, no candidate ever will convince me that they know what to do with technology. I trust myself with technology, and my family, and people that are sane.

By that... I don't call both candidates insane. Obviously...they are both sane, but part of a governing body. It should stay private, not connected with governmental functions. The function of government is to protect the citizens.

well, it spiralled into the issue of the (im)morality of stem cell research, so i addressed that. off topic though i guess.

and nobody dragged mrs. reeves out on the campaign trail. she decided to support kerry because she supports stem cell research. in the end though, the democrats accepted her to gain votes, which some may argue as cheap.

i have seen adds for bush which invoke 9-11 and even show videos of ground zero. now are you going to tell me this is not absolutely tasteless?

both sides are playing dirty here, so the arguement is who is MORE dirty then.
the bush campaign is nowhere near squaky clean, so lets see both sides of the coin.

On one side of the coin you have Kerry, and on the other side you have Bush. If that coin should land on its edge, (SOUL REAVER 2, Kain) there is a 3rd option. Nader.

I've thought through most of this. I'm getting a map of the 2000 presidential election to show why people vote as they do, it will shed some light on what is happening with who votes for who and why the candidates talk the way they do.

I've always been understanding. I now understand why the communication is so hard in politics. Both sides are saying the same thing from a different living environment. The candidates are strategically using voting trends to campaign by population density, therefore deducing the amount of problems people are having.

It becomes a virtual coin toss when republicans are told that everything is ok, and when democrats are told everything is going to hell. When each candidate says this, the party members touch their core feelings and the election goes such as 2000 did. I need to research again on what they campaigned. If it is the same in this election there is some slight % favoring Bush. Sadly, people won't change their minds when it comes to running on Everything is fine and everything is going wrong.

damn...how the hell did i quote myself? 😑
too late to edit...oh well

I usually quote myself. 🙂

does bush loyalty know no limits?

WEST PALM BEACH – An 18-year-old Marine recruit remained in jail on Wednesday, charged with threatening to stab his girlfriend over her choice for president, news partner NewsChannel 5 reported in its noon broadcast.

The enlistee, Steven Scott Soper, of Lake Worth, became enraged Tuesday night when his 18-year-old girlfriend said she was leaving him -- and voting for John Kerry for president.

Soper, who will enter the Marines as soon as he passes the GED test, solidly supports Bush. He allegedly told girlfriend Stacey Silheira, "You'll never live to see the election."

Palm Beach Sheriff's Office deputies called to the home in Lake Worth said they had to use a Taser – an electronic stun gun – to subdue Soper. They described Soper as enraged and said he was holding Silheira captive. He was armed with a screwdriver and threatening to stab her in the neck, they said. When Silheira eventually broke free a deputy fired the Taser, shocking him into submission.

Charged with aggravated assault, Soper remains in jail without bond until he undergoes a psychiatric exam, NewsChannel 5 reported.

...wow. That's just...❌

I heard this morning that 58,000 ballots have already gone missing in Florida...

--Florida ballot papers go missing--

The result of the 2000 polls was delayed by a recount in Florida

Tens of thousands of postal ballots have gone missing in the US state of Florida, sparking fresh concern over irregularities in the poll campaign.

Some 60,000 absentee ballots were despatched by authorities in Broward County, north of Miami, this month.

However, only 2,000 of them have been delivered.

Florida was the centre of controversies which delayed the result in 2000, with George W Bush eventually declared the winner in the state by 537 votes.

Electoral officials have been overwhelmed by calls from anxious would-be voters who are not going to be able to get to the polls next Tuesday and fear that their votes have been stolen.

The missing ballots have fuelled an atmosphere of intense suspicion in Florida, with Democrats already backing nine separate law suits in the state, says the BBC's Justin Webb in Washington.

If the outcome is close and decides the result in the presidential race - and both of those eventualities are perfectly possible - it seems virtually certain that protracted legal battles will follow, our correspondent says.

--'Beyond our control'--

A police investigation into the missing ballots has not uncovered any indication of criminal wrongdoing.

Meanwhile, the US postal service inspectorate said it was highly unlikely that 58,000 pieces of mail had just disappeared.

A spokesman said inspectors were trying to establish whether the ballots were ever delivered to the postal service.

Broward County election official Gisela Salas said the situation was "something beyond our control".

"We really have no idea what's going on," she told the Associated Press news agency.

--Lawsuits--

Campaigners are working to ensure that no one loses their vote because of the missing ballots.

Democratic Party legislators have called on the electoral authorities to publish newspaper ads telling people of other options for voting.

They also accused the Republican-dominated state government of dirty tricks.

In 2000, Broward gave Al Gore his biggest margin among Florida counties. He won 67% of the vote there, while losing the state to George W Bush.

"It looks like they're trying to steal the vote again," said Diane Glasser, vice-chairwoman of the Florida Democratic Party.

Both the Democrats and Republicans have already begun filing lawsuits in states across the US, challenging different aspects of the election process.

DARTH VADER FOR PRESIDENT!!!

WRITE HIM IN FOLKS I KNOW I AM. 😱and Im not kidding either...

JOHN KERRY FOREVER PRESIDENT 2004-2012

I am voting for President Bush, I don't think it would be wise to take him out of office in the middle of the war. I know there's alot out there against the war, but the fact still remains, we are in War. What will happen if Kerry gets into office in the middle of war?? Will he pull all of our troops out and bring the war here? what would happen or could happen then? And I also think Kerry can't make his mind up LOL he's for 1 thing then he changes and he's against it...who knows what would happen.

kerry never even hinted at pulling the troops out of iraq. he has stated that time and time again.

and both candidates are 'flip floppers', only bush has about as many flip flops in four years as kerry has had in 20.

OMG hysterical that is funny hysterical your talking about a guy that went from Military Officer... to hippie... to senator... hysterical do you know anything about Kerry? 😂 the whole reason they call him a flip flopper is because he never held a definitive stance IN HIS ENTIRE LIFE let alon in this election 😂

Kerry can never make up his mind to WHAT he believes in.

wow, 2 sentences, five laughing smileys, zero justification for any of them. sre you really going to loop this arguement back to 'flip flop',
and then we start all over again by me posting all of w's flip flops?

your outlook is that bush is just a completely wonderful human being and that john kerry is a joke. you think bush NEVER makes any mistakes that are of any significance and kerry is a blundering idiot.
you are unwise and completely naive if you truely think along these lines.

im sorry, but i cant help but not take you seriously anymore. you refuse to accept any fact, any quote, any article, anything. you seem to think that your gigantic ego gives you superpowers in that you can bend reality to your will so that bush is always right, and you are always right, and everyone else is a drooling idiot.

its pointless to even attempt to debate.

Well....this election is suppose to be one of the biggest in History, meaning over a million NEW people have registered to vote this year that have never voted before.

I think that Kerry wouldn't stand a chance in this election if Bush wasn't so despised by America's youth. I mean Bush sucks but to anyone who is going to argue that Kerry is a much better candidate, I'd like to see some reasons or some accomplishments that make Kerry a good candidate. I mean I already know why Bush is a bad candidate, but nobody ever says why Kerry is a good one.

I think it will be a tight race, Kerry just gives me the willy burgers LOL i don't even like to look at him, I don't trust him at all, and i don't thk he knows what he believes in, just my opinion tho
