Wont Anakin hate Palpatine when he finds out he....

Someone at TFN mentioned that it seems that Anakin doesnt seem to make the connection that Palpatine is behind the plot to kill Padme. I find this interesting. How will Lucas deal with this? I mean really, you'd think Anakin would be seriously pissed about this.

I'm not sure that Palps is involved in the plot to kill Padme. I think that Nute Gunray (spelling?) has it in for here and Palps just lets it go on.

Oh hes definitely in on it. He's always said everything has happened as he has planned or forseen it.

Perhaps he explaines to Anakin that no one was really trying to kill Padme but he needed it to look that way so he could suggest that she be put under the protection of the Jedi. Therefore he could suggest that she be placed under the protection of Master Kenobi which would bring Padme and Anakin together and give Anakin what Palpatine knows he wants.

Now there's a thought.......but how does he explain that he's been trying to kill Anakin? If Dooku is following Palpatines orders when he tries to have Padme, OB and Anakin killed at the arena how would he explain that?

Palpatine has faith in Anakin's abilities. Dooku is probably just another one of Palpatine's pawns to get Anakin to the point where he wants him to be, and putting his love in danger would get a reaction out of Anakin that Palpatine would want.

I see no reason why, by the OT, Vader won't be fully aware of Palpatine's past schemes. Anakin was naive in AOTC, but he won't be nearly so naive in ROTS. He can't lead a bloody raid on the Jedi temple and imagine that he's somehow above it all. He's joining the Dark Side, not some college fraternity. It's like joining the Mafia; he quickly learns that to get the power he wants, he has to play by some very brutal rules. If a mobster's wife held a powerful position and crossed the don, the mobster would understand that the don must respond. Same thing here. Padme has opposed Palpatine/Sidious's schemes every step of the way. At the beginning of the film Anakin might not understand the full consequences of his turn, but he will by the end. Certainly by the OT, he's accepted the barbaric nature of the Dark Side. He can't well hold Palpatine's evil against him, when he himself is just as guilty.

Err... Sidious isn't specifically trying to kill Padme. He doesn't care if she lives or dies.

Dooku was trying to kill Padme as part of his larger brief to set up the Confederacy. As part of this, Nute Gunray's condition was that Padme had to die. Sidious never gave him a direct order to kill her; Dooku organised her death as part of carrying out broader orders. And even that didn't concern him that much; he stopped trying once Obi-Wan found the dart and only did it again because she had actually COME to Geonosis, and as it is, in the end, he didn't need to kill her as the war started anyway... it was never anything personal, except with Gunray.

So Sidious himself had no specific Padme-killing objective (after all, he would be the LAST person to fail because she used a double- he knows full well she uses doubles to protect herself, he's FROM Naboo etc!). Remember, he delegated a heck of a lot to Dooku. Sure, he knows of it, but so what? By the time Anakin suspects anything like that he'll have stopped caring.

I don't think Anakin is political savvy. He doesn't understand politics. He is blind to everything Palpatine does and thinks he is a good man. Palpatine is giving Anakin positive reinforcement for his abilities. It would be hard for him to see Palpatine as a crook.

anakin said in episode2 that he liked politicians one or 2 while him padame were in field so he was part of political process in some way but got really angry in some ways when they talk bad about palpatine so I think he used anakin to get him on his side to turn him to the dark side.

so, on the topic

dispite popular belief, i think that anakin's kinship with palps will turn stale the moment vader wakes up as a machine. everything that was dear to him will have been taken away, and all that would be left is his quest for power.
i think that in the end vader will realise that palps masterminded the whole think, as palps loves to brag.

also, i think there is another factor which leaves vader bound to the emporer. "you dont know the power of the darkside, i must obey my master" "its too late for me, son." vader seems to wish he had the power to break free from the emporer, but cant.

I agree ... I think the Emperor will look much more powerful than we ever thought after Ep. 3
