On a side note. I don' t think there is anyone who can deny that, in the past, some religions have treated women as inferior to men, have denied women leadership roles, told women to be submissive, and used religious doctrines to control them both in society and the family. Today, in some parts of the world, religion is still repressive to women.

The whole "priest" thing is something characteristic of the Catholic religion. The Bible says that we are all "kings and priests." There is no special class of people in the Bible. The leadership structure witin the church starts with Jesus Christ--the True Head of the Church at the top. The pope is not the Head of the church, that is sheer heresy and false doctrine. Then you have apostles, prophets. evangelists, pastors and teachers. As well as elders and deacons (assistants to pastors normally). They are God's ordained leaders as it were in the body of Christ (this description uses the analogy of the human body to illustrate the interconnectedness and interdependence between each person in the church (worldwide) as a whole. Christ is stylized as the Head of this analogous body and each person is a member. Just as the human body is made up of various parts, the church consists of various parts. But we are all one body in Christ.)

You didn't actually answer his question...why can't women be ordained? And why is the Bible so sexist ?

Its not the Bible, its the Catholic Church that is sexist. Paul (whom most of you accuse of being a sexist) makes mentions of deaconesses and conmend many women for their faith. Also, in OT teachings, women could prophets and Deborah was even ruler of the Jewish people. There is no good reason why women are discriminated against.
1) All the authors of the Bible happen to be men
2) The Old Testament clearly states that women have to submit to men
3) In the Old Testament, there are kings who have many wives
4) It says its okay to sell your daughter into slavery
5) You can marry your daughter to whoever, it does not matter, but you must be careful who your son marries...for that is more important...old testament supported

I thought I clearly stated in this post that a woman can be ordained if God has called her to that position. I even gave a real life example of a an ordained, female minister of the gospel (there are many I just named one).
