The woman in the Bible fell under jewish laws made by MEN. According to the bible God created Eve as a partner for Adam. Yes according to the bible men are the head of the home for obvious reasons but men were also told to love their wives as God loves us meaning to give up their lives for their wives. Woman were not allowed to be in authority possisions in the churches because in the bible it says that manis the head of the home just as God is the head of the church which means a woman are not aloud to have authority over a man in the church.Even today there are many woman pasters and preachers because Jesus fulfilled the law and we as woman are not under Jewish law unless we are jewish.
If you look at the history recorded in the bible it was woman who was the strong ones. Look at Esther, Ruth, Moses's mother, Samuel's mother Mary was chosen, it was mostly the woman who stayed at the cross while many of the dissiples ran away in fear for their lives. The Bible says that a mother should teach a child in the way he/she should grow up, not the father. I think the Bible does a good job in teaching us about the strengh and value of woman. Men wanted to make us believe that we are inferior and by their strength tried to intimidate us. The Catholic Church is following their own man made laws.

Well, I am sure that Catholic Church will accept women priests sooner or later. When I hear the explanation that women are unreliable because of Menopauza, I want to laugh.

Very true, and there are many more. The Bible also says that the holy spirit will come upon our sons and daughters and they will prophecy, showing that woman are equally important to the Devine One.
