I highly doubt the medical droids didn't take those charred remains off of his body before putting the suit on him- that could lead to infection. There's also the matter that there's no way he wore the same suit for over 20 years right up to RotJ- he would've taken it off in that chamber of his on the Executor and similarly appointed places for maintenance, changing the garment, etc.

Sorry, this is off topic, but I just have to say that I'm impressed by your use of the word 'fixing'. I say it like that all the time (well, sometimes I forego the g) But I have NEVER seen anyone type it that way. I love it!

It's a southern thing. My cousin's wife is originally from Alabama and she says it all the time. It's actually pretty endearing.
