HA!

Famed Kevin Smith is "Stoked" by the fan-made duel scene..

STOKED

"Stoked" eh?? It was pretty good. I had seen the stills but not the video.... but the duel will be a thousand times better than any fan-made video, methinks..... Just that one scene in the trailer almost gave me a heart attack....

imagine how compelling it might be w/the score...

I don't see any video their. 😕

Oh god, with the John Williams score playing along with the duel, it is gonna be the best ten min of film ever produced.... or at least the most compelling and powerful, methinks

yea the top of post says..."fan-made duel scene"...

It's is pretty incredible.

its hard to say how it will work out, because lucas and ben burt like there to be no music during lightsaber duels because of the way the lightsaber sounds "almost...musical." so heres what i think about this.

at the beginning when obi confronts ani, there will be soft but sith like music and then when ani draws his saber and starts coming at obi, heart-wrenching choral music will accompany it. then as the fight goes on, the music will fade and it will be just the hum of the lightsabers whiping around which gives you the chance to connect with the characters and get closer to the action and emotion behind the fight. this also gives the audience a chance to listen closely to the dialoue. then when ani falls into the lava large choral music will arise followed by a slow and deadly imperial march.

The duel should have no music in it until the very end. Then, it should be the same music from the end of the RotJ duel. It already has a sad, almost apocolyptic tone to it. I know if I heard that start playing in the theater I'd start jumping up and down in my seat.

I'm sure DoTF will be in there somewhere.
