What ways? How would she go about blocking it? Were here Hana Hana clones shown to be able to switch places with her? I forget much of the arc I just dredged through so I can't remember.

Well she could probably just pull his arms a little to the side or something. Or trip him up. Or cover his eyes. Punching his nuts has already been mentioned.

You know...I wish the Shichibukai weren't called "legal pirates"...considering most of them are very unpiratey. Hell, most of them don't have a crew(or a somewhat visible one at least). :I

His missile launcher is not so easily deflected and creates an explosion many times larger than the Thousand Sunny.

Exactly. Grabbing someone's arms and then pulling them is something she does a lot.

Blocking opponent's attack has never been her primary defense.

Nico simply fights different than most of the crew. Rather than blocking a sword strike, she'll grab the sword arm so it can't be swung. If someone's about to shoot, she'll grab the gun, and so on.

Her moves literally appear on someone. She doesn't have to do the normal 'block/counterattack' rhythm thing.

Franky hits his opponents hard as his thing, Nico prevents her opponents from doing their things as hers.

Remember when she disarmed the entire Strawhat crew at once?

They're indistinguishable from her, and she'll hide her real self, so they might as well be.

Remember when Luffy and Jinbei were fighting and she got between them, then vanished?

Even if he's suddenly pointing it upwards or something?

She's not deflecting the missile, she's deflecting his arms.

She deflected the whole Thousand Sunny after all.

Ah, but is she strong enough to do it? Her arms, I mean.

Nope! 😄

Wait wait wait, doesn't any damage done on her Hana Hana body parts apply to her real body too? I am pretty sure this is one of the explicit weaknesses of her Fruit, that she feels what her sprouted body parts feel.

The missiles are fired from his left shoulder, and are rather simply operated as well.

I love the first comment. haermm

Kinda inspired by the Nico vs Franky argument...

Is it just me, or did Sanji get the least upgrades? Nico got upgrades in raw power and scale, and versatility and trickiness. Franky got a stronger body, all kinds of new vehicles, and a beam. Chopper upgraded his everything, as did Usopp and Nami. Luffy got his haki and can apparently use his gears without drawback now. Zoro can cut ships in half and create cutting storms that hang around. Sanji got... skywalking, plus probably a strength boost, but that's it.

Sanji can ignite his whole body now aside from the CP9 tech he learned. Though I'd actually argue that Brook got the least upgrades. I mean his training wasn't exactly training and all he got was a new sword and being able to use a pseudo regen/soul projection with his powers.

Yea, but he could already do flaming-kick... I guess that's an upgrade, but it's a pretty small one.

Brook seems to have more song powers too. I agree that he's down with Sanji in the upgrade charts.

Brook learned how to put his head back on his shoulders and go all "Ice sword!" on dem hos. That's definitely more than he had. And more than Zoro. 😛

In general, I agree. Poor Sanji.

Sanji had a major boost in maneuverability.

For a fighter like him, that is a godsend.

Boring yet Practical people.

Nah, Sanji still hasn't shown his "Attack Food" upgrade, whatever that is, I expect it to have him cooking mid fight any time soon.

True, that could help balance things out.

Am I the only one considering the possibility of the ending of One Piece being a cynical and depressing feast for the eyes, with the Straw Hats dying in battles and shit?

It would be the biggest tonal shift I could think of.

I can picture it, but Oda just doesn't roll that way 🙂

That's what he wants you to think.vin

Seriously, would a interesting alternate ending at the very least. haermm

Would make Oda a bigger troll than Kubo.

"**** MY PREVIOUSLY ESTABLISHED THEMES EVERYONE DIES"

Neverwinter Nights 2 actually did that. 😐

The ending is literally: ROCKS FALL EVERYONE DIES!

Only not as epic as this.

What were your favorite fights in One Piece?

Enel curbstomping everyone. estahuh

No but uh, Luffy vs. Lucci was high up there, Luffy vs. Crocodile, Zoro vs. Daz Bones, to name a few.
