Vivi is part of the World Government, she isn't a World Noble, those aren't the same thing. The World Government is an alliance of kingdoms all around the world, their highest authority is the Gorosei. The World Nobles -also known as Celestial Dragons- are a breed of people that is considered sacred.

There is a relationship though, the World Nobles are descendants from the original members of the World Government.

And Doffy references the Neferati as one of the founding families of the World Government.

Really? Somehow missed that one.

Then yeah, Vivi is by fair the most laidback Celestial Dragon we've met. But frankly they are soooo much differents than the other Celestial Dragons we've met that it's pretty puzzling.

Edit: Apparently you need to be of one of the families that moved to Mariejois to be considered a Celestial Dragon. The Nerferati didn't move over there.

Indeed but it is sorta confusing. One would think they'd still count but given the current World Noble system they may just shun the Nerferati as lesser nobility and downplay their involvement. But then Doffy also considered them among them so idk.

Man I can't wait for Luffy and co to go **** things up at the Council of Kings. It would be so fun to watch and I'm hinging my bets that it will happen.

Ok, let's just start to ship Doflamingo + Vivi 👆

Now you know why Doflamingo is scared of Kaido

3/10.

up to Boa Hancock's arc.

Pretty sure the reason this anime/manga is so popular because of how weird, insane and funny it is.

Swear to god Oda smokes crack before coming up with new chars. Also...LoL@Everyone and their mama being devil fruit users

While that makes sense for the manga the anime is considerably lackluster which doesn't make that much sense, seeing as how it pretty much a national pass time in Japan.

Also any thoughts for this recent chapter anybody?

The translation for this chapter was goddawful.

And the art looked very gross.

Pretty dark episode.

Indeed. Would maybe changed the structure a bit but dat content man.

"I escaped by hiding among a pile of corpses."

Holy shit Oda. haermm

Still some dark images in this flashback. It scares me to think I know little 8 year old kids that read this manga mmm

The conflict between the World Nobles and the peasantry is so cartoonish and stupid it can't be taken seriously at all.

I'm not sure how seriously we should take these One Piece social conflicts. If they weren't utterly stupid, then they would be complex and unsolvable like actual real life issues.

Not sure if that would fit in-universe.

Then frankly I'm not sure why they're here.

If Oda wants the story to be simple and without serious social conflicts, then he shouldn't have added them to the story.

General Perspective: Personally I don't think the conflict needs to be serious to be effective at storytelling. The problem of most of this stuff it's its unrepentant filler nature.

On One Piece: I agree that they could be cut off. I'm still waiting to see if any of these conflicts has pay off at all (other than Luffy punching Celestial Dragons in teh face).

So we have a new D. reveal. I wonder just how many people have that significance that are alive right now.
