Moria, Hancock, Jinbei and Blackbeard all betraying the government leaves a shitload of spaces for new Shichikubai.

Hancock's 'betray' wasn't open enough since she was fighting Whitebeards too and the circumstances often got confused (people mistook her love-shock for Luffy fighting her, and her pursuit of him at the end as actually doing her job instead of trying to aid him), she's still in.

Moria didn't betray them per se, but he was fired for weakness.

So all in all, three empty slots.

I wonder if one or some of the vice-admirals were promoted to admiral, since Akainu is now likely the new fleet admiral leaving only two admirals...

Probably just one, though it's hard to guess who. It could be someone new, a New World Marine VA.

it would be awesome if Dragon went incognito in Sabaody to see Luffy off just like he did in Loguetown, only to end up with the fake Luffy...

ya know, i just realized, very few people die in one piece. I think there was a couple that enel killed, and some in the war crocodile started, and Ace...other than that, i can't think of any. I mean, no one that luffy fought died, even though they should have

Oda does that on purpose. He thinks its better that the person lives on after the Luffy Smackdown Special(tm), so that those guys can recieve even more karma/be rehabilitated/come back for the plot.

To be honest, in the Skypiea arc, Enel not killing anyone was just really stupid. 😐

as for dudes being offed, we've been shown a couple albeit it happened in the past, Sabo being blown up along with his ship, and Aokiji freezing Jaguar D. Saul to name a few...

There is a difference, difference being that it completely downplayed Enel's threat as an antagonist, and it was done in such an obviously asspulled way.

and Enel being the second rate logia user that he is, was portrayed perfectly IMO...
