And Ichigo is meeting a disturbing amount of people who look suspiciously like Aizen.
Neither is entertaining, but with One Piece, the "fights" consist of Luffy and Zoro one-shotting villains who were built up as the main threats of this arc. At least I get the feeling that the heroes may occasionally be inconvenienced by the villains in Bleach.

The only two threats are only dangerous because of drugs in one case (and can be one-shotted without them!) and because the other won't fight face to face in the other.

Also, keep in mind that before, Luffy was just winging it, never really having formal training (unless you cound Ace and him as kids). So I think it is nice that he is now a legitimate threat rather than having to prove that he is through a WAY TOO LONG OF AN ARC.

The Tenryuubito are the manifestation of all of humanity's low points. That Otohime was willing to save one and even escort him back to the surface is a testament to her resolve in uniting humans and fishmen.
I am genuinely worried about the consequences of her trip, though. There's no way in hell they just let her go without something going on. Not gonna lie, I'll probably cry manly tears when they reach the inevitable death scene.
