any guesses on who the new admirals are? if Akainu appointed any that is...

Magellan seems stronger than any of the vice-admirals we've seen imo...

also, the dynamic between the shichibukai and the marines should be interesting with Akainu now at the helm...

I'd say Garp is stronger than Magellan, though Garp quit.

I guess if he plans to keep up with Luffy...though I think Vice Admiral is more appropriate myself. Pretty much all he had on Luffy during the war was Logia intangibility.

Unless of course Smoker gained Haki over the timeskip

not sure, but I don't think so imo, his beef with Luffy is a bit personal so he might want to decline and catch him solo or at least on his own terms...

it's interesting that it was Aokiji he approached, but he was merely asking for a transfer iirc, but Akainu and Smoker both have something in common and that is to catch Luffy, it'll be interesting we'll see soon enough...

So yay, I'm fairly caught up on One Piece. Just need to read the current arc, which apparently sucked. Will do that after the holidays.

It certainly is good. Dunno if its teh best manga evar like the Mangastream guys(and Japan) think. I don't really think it's the best of the Big 3(not gonna go into thinking about the 3 here). But it is great and I'm glad to be reading it now. ^^

Now, some of your favorite characters? 🙂

It is certainly not the best manga ever. I'd say it is the best of the HST, but there are better manga, like Berserk, Vinland Saga, and whatnot.

Favorite characters, hm.

Enel, Whitebeard, Zoro, Akainu, Mihawk, Magellan, Blackbeard, those are four that immediately come to mind.

It's either One Piece or Naruto. Bleach has good things about it I suppose but it does have poor writing.
