I think X-Men will get better once:

a) The Claremont sanity dies down and let him have only one title to write. He's just not writing like he used to.
b) Joe Q is no longer EiC
c) All the editors are fired.

With Chuck Austen finishing his run, I think improvements should start real soon anyway.

About solo titles, I agree I think they are ridiculous. You could have a solo title on my favorite character and I wouldn't pick it up (except MAYBE if it was an obscure character or character in "limbo"😉. There's just too many comics about characters we already know too much about (i.e. Wolverine). But of course those characters will never get killed off (even for at least a year) because they rack in too much dough.

Although ... "MadroX" is awesome and original.

just goes to show y'all how little i know. i wasn't even aware that Claremont was writing the x-men again. back in the day, his writing was engrossing and fresh. whatever happened to generation next characters. i thought they where pretty cool in a continuation of the new mutants kinda way. and by the way, i totally agree with you about marvel not killing of wolverine though i think he could stand to go MIA for a year.

i know, but think of all the broken hearts out there in comic land. besides, i don't want to put up with a massive dialog between people with regards to wolverine's good and bad points. and just the thought of every x-comic putting a, "world without wolverine"! header at the top of their comics makes me shudder. just to gain more of a insight into this subject, i logged onto the marvel dot comics web page and accessed the astonishing x-men comic, what a load of bollocks.

i like astonishing xmen, i just dont bother getting into the crappy scenes and enjoy the best parts of the comic, wolverine is one of my favorite characters, i just read the right comics when it comes to the character and he's still interesting to me

right then, havoc. recommend a few, (decent)! x-comics. you appear to know what the score is on this. I'm in London at the moment but am flying back home to the us tonight for thanksgiving at which point, I'll seek out any comics you recommend.
