RESIDENT EVIL: The Time is Now (Story board)

Paul knew what he wanted to say but it was the saying that was difficult, strange how saying a few words can be more tough sometimes than escaping a collapsing building. Instead Paul just walked ahead, 'Follow me', he said in a toneless voice. She hadn't forgave him, after all this time he thought maybe a little understanding but no and he deserved it, not because he was trying to get to the secrets that Umbrella held but for using her to get to them, for playing with her heart like it was something she could replace. Why couldn't he tell her these things he thought, blankly looking forward, not noticing the movement in front of him. His eyes felt cold, he could feel tears building up but he swallowed and held them back. His vision cleared just in time for him to hear his name being called out and a creature running towards him, he was knocked hard to the floor but by something from behind him and the sounds of shots being fired filled the air. The creature slid to him in a dead stop no further than three feet away from him. He looked back and saw both Chrys and Raine holding smoking guns, Raine gave a weak smile form behind.

((damn good story guys. Sorry i haven't been around. I'll post a little later today while i'm at my friends house. kahldia, do you have any objections to Drake getting infected like you and Mal have? “Follow me.” Paul said in a dead voice as he started to walk ahead.

Chrys looked to his back, a mixture of emotions going through her. Part of her wanted to cackle, let out a cruel laugh at hearing him sound the way she had felt the night she had found out…it had all been a lie. But the other half, the other side of her wanted to hold him tightly in her arms, never letting go, not wanting to see him in a distressed state of any sort.

Chrys waved off her emotions, sticking with a stone face, not wanting any, nor giving in return, just a blank palette. She followed after him, Raine by her side, when she noticed something in a distant shadow move, catch her eye. It was right by him, but he didn’t seem to notice, or care. She narrowed her eyes. “Paul!” she shouted.

A licker jumped from the side, knocking Paul down to the ground. Chrys took out her beretta, letting out two quick shots to the skinless creature, but was surprised to find two more shots go into the being from someone at her side. She glanced to see the girl, Raine, letting out one last shot before forming a weak smile. ‘Guess she’s not as useless as I first thought…’ a hint of approval visible in her eyes.

At not seeing Paul get up right away, Chrys placed her gun away as she ran to his side. She stopped once close and slid onto her knees to a stop. She brushed his hair lightly, then shook his shoulder. “Paul, swe-” She cut herself off, biting her tongue at what she was about to say, then forced back her cold voice. “Paul, are you alright?”

He looked to her and nodded. Chrys stood up, her head turned away to hide her expression. “Good, get up. We should get going now.” She then started to make her way in the direction he had started to walk in.

Raine walked over to Paul’s side and helped him up, making a face in Chrys’s direction. “Well, she’s nice,” She pulled him up and looked to her back with a curious expression. “What is her problem? I understand it’s a living hell out here but it doesn’t mean she has to act like-”

“A b*tch?” interrupted Chrys. She turned back to the two coldly.

Raine paused, placing her gun away. “I…wasn’t going to say that.”

“But you have to admit, it’s your unspoken thought. At least, it is to most people who meet me.” Chrys said, a neutral expression across her face. She took out a beretta. “Come on, we’ve wasted enough time as it is. Oh, and Paul, watch your back. You might not be so lucky next time.”

She raised an eyebrow, whipping her braid out of her face and to her back as she made her way to the RPD once more, Paul and Raine in tow.

Berina looked across at Bildo slightly, biting her lip a little she felt horrible for him and even worse so from the reaction she'd recieved from Travis. She wanted to talk to him, tell him how it'd happened and that despite how it looked this had been her fate for years she'd fought it and now transformed into a better self. She just hoped someday he could see past the exterior and look at her the same.

Travis looked to Berina as the elevator slowly rose to the surface. Her eyes were beginning to shine as tears filled them, but she skillfully held them at bay. Travis knew it was in no small part to his reaction at the sight of her. 'Berina, don't feel so bad. It isn't because of your appearance that I recoiled earlier, it was just the shock of the transformation itself. I don't presume to be a handsome man myself, but your are still a very beautiful woman. Not even Umbrella can take that away from you. You are still sexy in that half woman, half cat Dr. Moreau kindof way, and even if your Transformation intensifies, You will always be the beautiful and vivacious Berina Valious that kicked my ass when i made many advances toward her when i was a rookie Team 66 grunt.' Travis said in his mind knowing than only Berina would hear him, and that she wouldn't kick his ass royally afterwards.

This made Berina smile and she nodded slightly, 'Thankyou' She replied, turning slightly so she could wipe a stray tear, what he'd said had meant a lot to her.

((Hay Xornon Jay Would you mind helping me and mal with the camp problem its fun toe surrounded but you have gotten in the action latly....))

OOC: XornonJay I was wondering when we'd see you again, Decomposition seems to have disappeared lately as well. Now that you mention those pages, I was on them too but I'd rather fight Umbrella off and not get messed with.

Paul's side hurt from the collision and he felt like an idiot for just walking blankly like he did, he could have lead them all into a death trap. Chrys ran up to him and for a second in her almost normal voice she started, “Paul, swe-”, she paused,“Paul, are you alright?”, she said in a less warm but still with a hint of concern in her voice. Paul nodded, “Good, get up. We should get going now.”, she said as she continued walking. Raine came up to him to help him up, “What is her problem? I understand it’s a living hell out here but it doesn’t mean she has to act like-”
“A b*tch?”, Chrys said finishing her sentence, “I…wasn’t going to say that.”, Raine said dismissively.
“But you have to admit, it’s your unspoken thought. At least, it is to most people who meet me. Come on, we’ve wasted enough time as it is. Oh, and Paul, watch your back. You might not be so lucky next time.”

Paul was up, 'Thanks...you're wrong about her, she's not that bad, we have our reasons for acting the way we are...', he paused 'that was once again some nice shooting', he said smiling to Raine.
'I have yet to see you shoot anything', she said jokingly, she could see Paul wasn't exactly in the mood but she couldn't help to try and cheer him up a bit.
Paul gripped his shotgun firmly, it was true, he hadn't shot anything yet since meeting Raine. 'I can assure you that next time I'll be doing some killing.'
Paul made his way back to the front of the line, Chrys looked at him coldly so he just passed her leading the way but this time ready.
Raine ran to catch up with Chrys, she was going to try a different approach, 'What's the deal with you two?' she asked her looking forward at Paul.

((OOC: You did say I could make 'em as close as I wanted, right 👿 ? Eh, but if you don't like my rendition of their...relationship, you can always ignore it or I can edit it 😊 Well, without further ado, here's as much as I can post over my lunch break))

"What's the deal with you two?"

Chrys looked to Paul's back before turning to Raine. She raised an eyebrow. "Sorry, but I'm not exactly comfortable sharing the details of my past with some teenager I barely even know...though if you really want to know, ask Paul. He'll tell you..."

'He'll tell you how he f*cked with my heart...' she thought with a cold expression, one to hide the sadness in her eyes.

Chrys placed her gaze upwards to the sun, merely a bright orange haze over the horizon now. She bit her lip, remembering something she shouldn't, but couldn't ever forget.

**flashback**

"Do you have to go now?"

Chrys stood in the doorway, a short flowing baby blue robe covering her tired frame, her blond hair falling around, down her shoulders in messy curly locks. She looked into Paul's eyes, a bright sparkle in her eyes, but not a smile visible. It was still hard for her to show happiness.

Paul pulled her in close, sliding a hand into her silk robe as he started to kiss at her lips playfully. She moved a hand upwards to his face and pulled him closer, running a hand through his hair. With a free hand, she tugged at his shirt, a mischevious expression in her eyes.

Suddenly, the back of Paul's jeans buzzed once more. He quickly turned it off, pulling away from her as he bit his lip. "Sorry Chrys, I have to..."

Chrys folded her arms across her chest as she leaned her side to the doorway. "Alright fine."

Paul threw on his jacket and started to walk away, but stopped as he had started to reach into a pocket. He turned around and headed back up to her, hand in coat, and inches away took out a small red rose. He smiled to her weakly. "For you...meant to give it to you earlier but got caught up in other things."

Chrys gave a half smile as she held out her hand for the rose. "Yeah, I bet."

Paul walked up to her but didn't hand her the crimson flower, instead placing it behind her ear. He stepped back with a strange expression in his eyes. "You really are beautiful, its almost unreal..."

Despite herself, she felt a smile form and her cheeks heat up. She placed a lock behind her ear and gave him a small kiss to the cheek. "Thanks for that, but you have to be going now, right?"

"Right, right..." He gave her a kiss to the cheek then quickly ran off to his car, driving off into the night.

"Bye luv..." she muttered in barely a whisper. She watched as his car sped off before taking the rose from behind her ear and taking a deep smell. "Well, now I have other things to-" She stopped talking as a chill wind blew by, opening up her robe to a cool breeze. She felt a prick on her finger. She looked down to see a droplet of blood, fresh on the stem of the rose.

"Damn...that's not good. But enough with that." She walked back inside the house, heading up the stairs to a room filled with three computers. She plopped down into a chair and steepled her fingers before plopping down into her seat. "Have things to do..."

((Sorry, but I'll have to continue this later 😬 Oh, and sorry for the lenght, I tend to go nuts on flashbacks ))

((Hey thats a good flashback keep it up))

Bildo looked down at his son and back up too Berina and just saw her turn away from Travis and wipe a tear away from her face "Whats up Berina" he said with a smile. He looked bac down to his son and said to himself in a normal toned voice "well at least he'll be different" and then he closed his eyes about 5 tears rolled down his face and dripped on the floor then Berina wiped away the wet on his face and she smiled at him a little. Then Bildo said "Guys what am i gunna tell him when he comes to and to my wife, she's gunna be really upset" "what am i gunna say, sorry i was to l8 couldnt help him......" and then he hugged his boy hard "i love him so much" Bildo looked at Berina and nugged her she looked at him and he thought to himself *Berina if you dont mind me asking do you two have a lovelife history like* and he looked away from her. The elevator still riseing.

((Woo, and here's my long arse continuation. Glad half of it's done with...the other part isn't important now so, ya know, this'll do 😛 Oh, and thanx for that Bildo, hope you like the rest 😊

(cont. to other post...)

Chrys sat at the computer's and turned the first one on. She typed in her password, then quickly connected to the internet where the world was her play thing, the screen being her veil.

"Wouldn't be fun if the marionettes knew of the puppet master..." she said in a whisper, her eyes lit up brightly in the light of the screen. Ever since she had joined the UBCS she had become a bit of a mastermind with the computer, her shooting being her side skills. And once she had become near-perfect at the former, she had taken into hacking into Umbrella's database as she couldn't help but to think there was more to them than met the eye.

Chrys landed into the Umbrella log in screen, using a psuedo identity, then quickly looked about for something that had caught her interest. It was the Schindler's list of Umbrella with the exception that it was the bad guys being protected or to be more exact twelve of the most important men i.e. the founder's of Umbrella.

"The location of the disk is unsure...is said to be heavily veiled in secrecy...latest test site proves to be perfect location..." murmured Chrys, skimming through the endless paragraphs. Eventually, her thoughts started to drift off, and she found herself thinking of Paul.

She let out a groan, running her hands through her hair with a frustrated smile. "Why can't I stop thinking about him? Why can't I just be happy? Blah, me and my ulterior motives and conspiracies, there's nothing wrong with him!" She slammed a hand down onto the keyboard.

Chrys raised an eyebrow and sat up in her chair, glancing about at the dark screens. She looked to the rose on the table and examined it carefully before putting it on the table and placing her hands on the keyboard.

"But there's one way to find out...just a little peek, and when everything checks out I'll tell him about it tomorrow. He'll be a little pissed but, hey, better safe than sorry," She let out a small smile. "That's like sharing a needle with a druggie and wondering whether I'll be okay after the fact...so so smart."

Chrys typed in what little she knew about Paul into the database and after waiting a few seconds, a screen popped up with his ID picture, date of birth, social security, and a lot more information then she thought she should know about him. She skimmed through it quickly, then felt a smile form. "So he is...eh?"

In the upper left hand corner, she noticed something strange. There, it showed the date when he had entered into working for Umbrella. But something struck her odd about the date. She pushed back into her chair, her fist into her chin as she spun in the swivel chair in thought. She then widened her eyes, bringing herself to a halt at the screen.

"He registered...two weeks after this initial date. Hell, he arrived two weeks after that. So...why would they put his file up early? Expecting him, perhaps?"

Chrys bit her lip. She felt her heart skip a beat as a warning, she should stop while she was ahead. But...it seemed so strange, she had to know why. She scanned the screen with his information once more, looking for any hint that Umbrella might've been watching him from the start but found nothing...until she scrolled down.

It was nearly microscopic. Just a speck of dirt on the screen. She leaned over to the monitor to the small black dot at the bottom right of the page. She highlighted in her computer, then zoomed in to see it was the equivalent of a camera. A spy network, so to speak. However, it was a one way link. Whoever was checking on him obviously didn't want any trails leading back to them.

"Then you shouldn't have left such an obvious link..." Chrys muttered, getting more nervous by the second. She input a few commands, and waited a few seconds, then found herself linked to what looked to be an Israelian website. "What the hell is this about...?"

Chrys narrowed her eyes to the screen then took a spare piece of printer of paper and started to draw the biggest logo she could see. She booted up the second computer in the room and tapped to the monitor impatiently, finally connecting to the web. She scanned in the drawing and while waiting for matches, looked to the rose, her blood dry on the thorn. She picked it up and started to twiddle it between her fingers.

Half of her knew she had stumbled onto something big. The other half wondered what and what Paul had to do with it. The computer went off, indicating it had found a match. She tilted her head, the rose to her lips. "The...Mosad?"

Chrys pushed herself back to the first computer and looked at the URl address. It was mainly a bunch of numbers and foreign text. She sent it into a hyperlink, then e-mailed herself onto the last computer. She turned that on and received the page, putting it through a translation system. She took a deep breath, the rose still in hand, and started to read through the site.

"Agent Bak...last report...during past....months gained...several....key notes...information involving Umbrella projects.....received most facts from....only...needed on field.....recon...will be done...."

It was all she could make out. Chrys felt a wave of confusion and fear wash over her entire being as she twirled the rose in her finger rapidly. "Paul...he's in on this? An agent for Mosad? But how in the hell has he managed to get information? He's always been with me-"

Chrys stopped, her eyes widening as the cold realization came to her. Her arm fell numb, the rose falling lithly onto the carpeted white ground below. She felt her heart stop as she stared to the screen and her head become flooded with the casual dates, the times she let Umbrella's little projects slip, key places most were to avoid, everything. She had told him everything about Umbrella laid out neatly on a silver platter.

Her head hung low at the table as she grabbed a pack of Salem's and a blackish blue metallic lighter, one he had bought her. She lit a cigarrete, despite having quit three months back and looked up to the ceiling, her eyes sparkling with tears. She let out a puff of smoke into the air and felt the dead feeling give way to shame that she didn't see it earlier. "He used me..."

~~~~~~~~~~~~
The next day, Chrys went to her job and noticed Paul coming to her from across the hall. She averted his gaze, ignoring him completely as she couldn't look him in the eyes without feeling a sharp pain through her heart...
**end flashback**
Chrys lowered her gaze from the now set sun, blinking rapidly as she tried to adjust her vision to the darkness of the evening and swat away any tears that had been tempted to come. She stopped walking, allowing Raine to go ahead as she started to regain her ice-cold composure.
A huge bash interrupted her calm breathing. She flew several feet, skidding to a stop upside down by a building. From her altered view, she noticed a huge amphibious creature with a huge claw headed her way. She took out her beretta, firing upside down but found that it barely pierced through it's skin.
"G-type...still have those...?" she muttered in slight disbelief. Raine had started to let out shots to the approaching creature as well, but before it could cause any real damage a loud blast went off, downing the creature instantaneously.
Raine looked to the source and gave a smile. "Well, it's about friggin time!"
Chrys looked to Paul who had started to reload his weapon and shook her head, a small smile visible across her lips. "Couldn't have said it better myself."
She stretched her arms upwards, annoyed that she had been caught off guard but without another word and a neutral face, started to walk off once more.
Travis knew that something must be wrong with Bildo's son. He was about to say something when the warning came over the loudspeaker. "you now have one minute to reach minimum safe distance."
"What's the minimum safe distance?" Bildo asked as the elevator stopped and the doors opened. "Anywhere but here!" Travis said as he stepped out into the pharmacy. He led the two out and a black suv was sitting on the curve. "Proverbial gifthorse, come on. Berina, You drive."
((Liked the end of it aswell good job))
Bildo ran out of the pharmacy with jack in his arms, he went to the vehicle and went to the bac door. He opened it and led his son on the seat and then he closed the door and ran round to the other side of the car and got in the back with his son. Travis got in the passenger side and Berina got in the drivers seat "GO GO GO" Bildo shouted.
Berina swiftly gunned the accelerator, spinning expertly into a larger street, she was doing well, swerving the dead cars and hitting a few walking corpses along the way.
Travis Felt each bump in his shoulder as Berina hit each zombie, "Look out you almost missed one!" He shouted sarcastically. Seconds later a bright white flash filled the suv from behind. the ground shook as the lab exploded and the flames reached the back of the vehicle, lapping at the rear tires. the last thing Travis saw before passing out was the suv launch into the air as the shockwave hit.
