(cont. to other post...)
Chrys sat at the computer's and turned the first one on. She typed in her password, then quickly connected to the internet where the world was her play thing, the screen being her veil.
"Wouldn't be fun if the marionettes knew of the puppet master..." she said in a whisper, her eyes lit up brightly in the light of the screen. Ever since she had joined the UBCS she had become a bit of a mastermind with the computer, her shooting being her side skills. And once she had become near-perfect at the former, she had taken into hacking into Umbrella's database as she couldn't help but to think there was more to them than met the eye.
Chrys landed into the Umbrella log in screen, using a psuedo identity, then quickly looked about for something that had caught her interest. It was the Schindler's list of Umbrella with the exception that it was the bad guys being protected or to be more exact twelve of the most important men i.e. the founder's of Umbrella.
"The location of the disk is unsure...is said to be heavily veiled in secrecy...latest test site proves to be perfect location..." murmured Chrys, skimming through the endless paragraphs. Eventually, her thoughts started to drift off, and she found herself thinking of Paul.
She let out a groan, running her hands through her hair with a frustrated smile. "Why can't I stop thinking about him? Why can't I just be happy? Blah, me and my ulterior motives and conspiracies, there's nothing wrong with him!" She slammed a hand down onto the keyboard.
Chrys raised an eyebrow and sat up in her chair, glancing about at the dark screens. She looked to the rose on the table and examined it carefully before putting it on the table and placing her hands on the keyboard.
"But there's one way to find out...just a little peek, and when everything checks out I'll tell him about it tomorrow. He'll be a little pissed but, hey, better safe than sorry," She let out a small smile. "That's like sharing a needle with a druggie and wondering whether I'll be okay after the fact...so so smart."
Chrys typed in what little she knew about Paul into the database and after waiting a few seconds, a screen popped up with his ID picture, date of birth, social security, and a lot more information then she thought she should know about him. She skimmed through it quickly, then felt a smile form. "So he is...eh?"
In the upper left hand corner, she noticed something strange. There, it showed the date when he had entered into working for Umbrella. But something struck her odd about the date. She pushed back into her chair, her fist into her chin as she spun in the swivel chair in thought. She then widened her eyes, bringing herself to a halt at the screen.
"He registered...two weeks after this initial date. Hell, he arrived two weeks after that. So...why would they put his file up early? Expecting him, perhaps?"
Chrys bit her lip. She felt her heart skip a beat as a warning, she should stop while she was ahead. But...it seemed so strange, she had to know why. She scanned the screen with his information once more, looking for any hint that Umbrella might've been watching him from the start but found nothing...until she scrolled down.
It was nearly microscopic. Just a speck of dirt on the screen. She leaned over to the monitor to the small black dot at the bottom right of the page. She highlighted in her computer, then zoomed in to see it was the equivalent of a camera. A spy network, so to speak. However, it was a one way link. Whoever was checking on him obviously didn't want any trails leading back to them.
"Then you shouldn't have left such an obvious link..." Chrys muttered, getting more nervous by the second. She input a few commands, and waited a few seconds, then found herself linked to what looked to be an Israelian website. "What the hell is this about...?"
Chrys narrowed her eyes to the screen then took a spare piece of printer of paper and started to draw the biggest logo she could see. She booted up the second computer in the room and tapped to the monitor impatiently, finally connecting to the web. She scanned in the drawing and while waiting for matches, looked to the rose, her blood dry on the thorn. She picked it up and started to twiddle it between her fingers.
Half of her knew she had stumbled onto something big. The other half wondered what and what Paul had to do with it. The computer went off, indicating it had found a match. She tilted her head, the rose to her lips. "The...Mosad?"
Chrys pushed herself back to the first computer and looked at the URl address. It was mainly a bunch of numbers and foreign text. She sent it into a hyperlink, then e-mailed herself onto the last computer. She turned that on and received the page, putting it through a translation system. She took a deep breath, the rose still in hand, and started to read through the site.
"Agent Bak...last report...during past....months gained...several....key notes...information involving Umbrella projects.....received most facts from....only...needed on field.....recon...will be done...."
It was all she could make out. Chrys felt a wave of confusion and fear wash over her entire being as she twirled the rose in her finger rapidly. "Paul...he's in on this? An agent for Mosad? But how in the hell has he managed to get information? He's always been with me-"
Chrys stopped, her eyes widening as the cold realization came to her. Her arm fell numb, the rose falling lithly onto the carpeted white ground below. She felt her heart stop as she stared to the screen and her head become flooded with the casual dates, the times she let Umbrella's little projects slip, key places most were to avoid, everything. She had told him everything about Umbrella laid out neatly on a silver platter.
Her head hung low at the table as she grabbed a pack of Salem's and a blackish blue metallic lighter, one he had bought her. She lit a cigarrete, despite having quit three months back and looked up to the ceiling, her eyes sparkling with tears. She let out a puff of smoke into the air and felt the dead feeling give way to shame that she didn't see it earlier. "He used me..."

The next day, Chrys went to her job and noticed Paul coming to her from across the hall. She averted his gaze, ignoring him completely as she couldn't look him in the eyes without feeling a sharp pain through her heart...
**end flashback**
Chrys lowered her gaze from the now set sun, blinking rapidly as she tried to adjust her vision to the darkness of the evening and swat away any tears that had been tempted to come. She stopped walking, allowing Raine to go ahead as she started to regain her ice-cold composure.
A huge bash interrupted her calm breathing. She flew several feet, skidding to a stop upside down by a building. From her altered view, she noticed a huge amphibious creature with a huge claw headed her way. She took out her beretta, firing upside down but found that it barely pierced through it's skin.
"G-type...still have those...?" she muttered in slight disbelief. Raine had started to let out shots to the approaching creature as well, but before it could cause any real damage a loud blast went off, downing the creature instantaneously.
Raine looked to the source and gave a smile. "Well, it's about friggin time!"
Chrys looked to Paul who had started to reload his weapon and shook her head, a small smile visible across her lips. "Couldn't have said it better myself."
She stretched her arms upwards, annoyed that she had been caught off guard but without another word and a neutral face, started to walk off once more.
