Travis' head swam in pain as he began to wake up. "Bildo...you and your son ok?" he heard Berina's voice. Travis knew he was still alive but the pain in his shoulder was intense. As he looked down he noticed blood flowing from it. 'what the hell?' when his vision fully cleared Travis saw a long piece of Rebar (long thin piece of metal usually placed in concrete) Sticking out of it. "God must hate me today." Travis said as he grabbed the end of it to pull it out.
Berina's head whipped around and she saw the state Travis was in, she then heard a knock from outside, opening her door and looking down she saw a woman, probably a few years younger than her in army fatigues that were a size too big but seemed to fit her athletic figure fine. "Oh shit..you guys are still alive? After a tumble like that I expected you to be dead." She commented, suprise laced in her voice, "Anyone hurt?" Berina nodded and left the door open, helping Bildo and his son out as the woman approached Travis, wiping her hair out of her eyes, no one seemed to notice but him...she was a spitting image of his lost love.
'I've been doing just that for six long years, and it doesn't help you three go ahead. I will only slow you down now. Besides with the way things are looking, it's dangerous hanging around me. I'll be fine, but you all should just go' Travis thought as he back against a nearby wall and slid down it.
Bildo looked back and said "comon Travis you wont slow us down, i know somewere we can go thats safe for the mo its on main street there are two other survivers and plus we are near there" Bildo starting to walk towards main street and hi wife. "My son is ok i think other than the obvious in the crash he landed on me so i think that i came out worse" Bildo said rubbing his ribs.
Malconin finally ran out of ammunition and stood, his rage at its peak, his skin bubbling roiling. He saw Darion flicker in and out of his vision and almost set out to destroy him, before he could rein himself in enough to realise it was, in fact, Darion.
He spotted Drake squatted behind the overturned 4x4 and noticed that his friend was out of ammo...luckily, the zombies seemed more intent on him and Darion.
The last few remaining in the first group of zombies ambled their way towards him and he made quick work of most, slipping behind them and breaking their necks or ripping their heads clean off their shoulders with his bare hands.
The ground seemed to rumble and he took his attention away from the zombies, letting them reach him and gnaw away at his indestructible flesh. His gaze moved to the general direction of the lab in which Berina and Travis were in.
A slight smile curled the corner of his lips, but no thoughts what-so-ever entered his mind, for he blocked those that tried to come to the fore. After several moments he turned his attention back to the last few zombies and delt with them swiftly.
OOC: ImmortalSamurai I'm guessing you're not talking about the Raine that's with Paul and Chrys because if you were that according to what you said you two started dating when she was 10...lol...If you want to meat Raine then say so and I'll find a way to pass her over to your hands.
Midnight I think I'm in love...jk.jk well I love your writing anyhow, I'm having a B-day party today and tomorrow I think my friends are taking me out , so I won't be around. I really wouldn't mind if you controlled my character while I'm not around. Oh and nice flashback, you're making me feel bad for having hurt Chrys, I feel like a bad person..lol
Oh Decomposition, haven't seen you in a while W/B.
Paul looked back hearing his name and saw Raine walking alongside Chrys, Chrys had a far away look in her eyes and Raine was staring at her not noticing Paul's back gaze. He quickly turned away, scanning the way before them for any signs of movement when suddenly he heard a thud from behind. No time to think, Paul saw a creature, different from the ones he'd seen up until now. It was approaching Chrys who was firing helplessly at it from the ground, Paul raised his shotgun as he ran towards the creature and shot one fire that caught the creature on its side, sending it sprawling dead to the ground.
"Well, it's about friggin time!", Raine called from next to Chrys.
"Couldn't have said it better myself.", Chrys confirmed with a hint of a smile on her face.
Paul was about to approach her but she just got up and walked passed him, the police station was in sight, she headed towards it. The way she walked passed him triggered a time in his memory.
My turn to Flash back--
Paul had left Chrys's house in a rush, something was up and his people needed him. He arrived at the ushual meeting place behind a huge wearhouse, a black Mercedes drove up to him and the door opened. Paul entered the car, you could cut the tension with a knife, 'They're on to us', the man said shattering the silence. 'Asaf is dead, we don't know who exactly pulled the trigger but it was definitely Umbrellas doing; we're pulling you out.'
Paul shook his head, 'Asaf, but I saw him this morning...', his voice failed him. Asaf and him were assigned to this operation together, although they could not have any sort of contact with one another they depended on each other. 'But we were so close, give me two more days and I'll get to the bottom of this!', Paul said determined to not let Asaf's death be in vain.
'We can't let you do that, the Mosad must not be found involved at all costs, they have enough power to bring us down Paul.', the man said with a fixed expression on his face.
'Screw the Mosad for a moment, this is much bigger than that and if we must go down to bring them down with us then it's a small price to pay for whatever it is that's going on down there!', Paul said, his face growing red.
'The Mosad will not risk the wellbeing of the Israeli people under any circumstances!', the man said, starting to loose his temper. Paul wasn't supposed to think for himself, he was supposed to carry out orders.
'I'm not leaving without Chrys!', Paul said desperately.
'Chrys is nothing to us, we're not going to risk anything for your fvck buddy, as useful as she may have been.'
Paul leaped forward pinning the man to the window with his elbow crushing his throat, 'Don't you ever call her that! She is the only reason we know as much as we do and what goes on between me and her is none of your business!', Paul said through gritted teeth.
'Oh but it is', the man said, struggling for breath, 'you two have been putting up quite a show for the surveillance team'
Paul raised his fist just as two guns were being pointed at him, 'I wouldn't do that if I were you', the man said as Paul loosened his elbow from the mans neck.
'That's better', he said, straitening the collar of his shirt with a smile.
A loud shot rang in Paul's ears and the man in front of him coughed, sputtering up blood as his lungs flooded with blood. Paul pushed the dieing man off him and struggled to open the door, a chain of gunfire ripped through the side of the car killing the driver and the man next to him. The door was locked, Paul took the gun from the lifeless hand of the driver and shattered the window falling out to the street. He ran to a large metal dumpster and got behind it just as a large explosion teared through the car leaving nothing but a heap of twisted burning metal. Five men in black jumpsuits came running to the car, 'Where did the fourth man go?', one of them asked, 'He got away a second before the exposion', another man answered. 'Search the perimeter! We're not leaving till he's dead!', the first man yelled out as the rest of the men spread out to search for Paul.
Paul didn't wait to get caught, he quickly ran around the far side of the warehouse, footsteps were coming from somewhere behind him. He backed into the safety of the darkness as one of the men passed him, he jumped out surprising him and snapping his neck before he could let out a sound.
Paul made his way back to his apartment without any further disturbances, he lifted the phone and dialed Chrys's number but before the phone had a chance to ring he hung up. He couldn't get her involved in this, not yet.
Paul didn't sleep all night and the next morning he decided he was going back to Umbrella, he needed to see Chrys and warn her and also try to get the information he was sent to obtain. There was no one to stop him from entering the Umbrella office building, everyone was acting perfectly normal. Chrys walked pass him without him even noticing, as he made his way to her office, a guard gave a strange look towards Paul but Paul couldn't be bothered by it at the moment. He entered Chrys's office only to find it empty, an envelope caught his eye, it had his name on it only in Hebrew. He made his way around the desk and opened the envelope, in it was a letter written in Hebrew.
----------
Paul,
They know who you are, the guards were told to act normal until you left...
I don't know why I'm helping you, I know who you are! There's a key taped underneath my desk, it opens the emergency exit on the 5th floor to the roof, they'll be watching the fire escape so you need to exit down the east wall. There's a rope on the rightmost air vent on the roof, use it to climb down, don't let them see you!
If you come near me or try to contact me I will blow your cover.
Destroy this envelope and letter before you leave, if you are caught then I will deny anything you say against me.
You blew it,
X,X
----------
Paul read the letter two more times before finally putting it through the paper shredder. Sure enough there was a key taped to the table, he pocketed it and left the office. He needed to see her again, he searched the third floor for her for a few minutes until he finally spotted her. She hadn't noticed him yet, he was tempted to approach her but two guards were staring at him from the entrance. He pretended to look at some charts that were hanging on the wall, he chanced a glace towards Chrys who's eyes were locked on him. He tuned towards her and she gave an almost unnoticeable shake with her head that was a warning. She moved her eyes in the direction of a camera in the corner of the room and then to the guards in the entrance. Paul made another step towards her but she turned and quickly left the room, Paul couldn't risk following her so openly so he made his way to the opposite side of the hallway. He needed to get to the emergency stairs unnoticed, that was his only way to the roof that wasn't covered by cameras or guards, that's what she was trying to tell him. He turned the next corner and was suddenly facing Chrys, she looked at him with a cold gaze, he wanted to explain but the warning in her letter seemed more threatening now than it did before, she continued past him and he followed her instructions leading him safely out of the building and the next day he was back in Israel.
End of flashback--
Paul's thought came back to reality as they approached the Police station, he needed to talk to Chrys but it would have to wait.
'We're here, now what?', Paul asked from behind Chrys.
OOC: I couldn't let the readers know only your side of the story and have me come out as a heartless jerk who used you carelessly. Thus the creation of my side of the story. I hope you like it...this is getting interesting, can't wait to see what happens! tv_horror

OOC: Well, thanx for that AcrypT and Happy Birthday 😊 Your flashback sorta threw me for a loop, wasn't expecting that but I liked it...and it does make things quite interesting 😖hifty: I'll make another flashback later, but for now...
"We're here, now what?" Paul asked from behind Chrys.
Chrys looked to the grim building, the outside strewn with bodies and stepped over a corpse as she kept a tight grip on her gun. "We search, what else?" She started to walk up to the entrance as she explained. "Basically, we're looking for a computer...not any of the regular ones, this one is kept in the police commissioner's office. Apparently, he was pretty close with Umbrella."
She pushed open the doors to be greeted with countless beheaded zombies, many with katana scars. Accompanying this was the same stomach wrenching scent that had overcome the city. Chrys shook her head. 'And look where being close got him. A chance to partake in one of Umbrella's experiments gone wrong. Only problem was...he never realized he was the experiment.'
"Hmm, looks like we missed the party," muttered Raine, noting the masses of zombies within the police department.
"Too bad, I would've loved some target practice." retorted Chrys in cold sarcasm as she stepped on an already sliced head, ignoring the mess on her boots.
"So, what should we do?" questioned Raine, averting her gaze from the massacre.
She sighed as she looked around the building. She was starting to consider possibly the stupidest idea ever uttered out loud. They didn't know what they were against so it was screaming suicide in Chrys's mind.
One side said, 'Split up...that way we'll make faster progress.' Then the smart side said, 'F*ck that...time isn't of the utmost importance...' She wasn't too sure of which one to pick. Just then, a loud bark interrupted her thoughts. The location couldn't be pinpointed, the noise instead echoing through the department, reverberating through the walls.
'The latter...' though Chrys with a raised eyebrow.
"We stick together for now. Make it to the center of the RPD, find a way to his office, get the file, then get out as fast as possible. We have two more locations to cover..." Chrys said in a calm tone, looking about the building with her beretta's out. While time wasn't of the essence, her instinct was telling her they should get out of there fast.
She sneaked a glance to Paul with her last thought. 'And that hasn't failed me yet...'
((Well, that's all for now, I'll continue this a little later 😊 ))
