Chris pulled his hand back. "And the fact I could sense that you were miserable in your ordinary life."
"So me being eternally miserable is better?"
"Ugh, yeah, it is. I've waited since first grade for my revenge on that boy, and yestersay I saw the perfect opportunity. You all alone trying to flee from the others. You just screamed to be turned."
Mikano hung her head. Had she? She had always wondered about it.
"I'm not. Being a vampire isn't bad." Mikano said standing up.
Chris smirked and stood up too. He put an arm around her shoulders. "Then come with me after school and I'll introduce you to some of the rest of us. You know it's only a matter of time before he turns you in."
"Troy would never." she said shrugging his arm off and walking down the bleachers.
Chris smirked as he spotted Troy entering the gym. He was obviously looking for Mikano. He headed towards the vampire trembling with rage. "Where is she?"
"Who, dear boy?"
"Don't call me that. Mikano, you know, the girl you turned to get at me."
"Ah, that delicious one. Well, she's recovering from another session." Chris said licking his lips.
"Bastard." Troy whispered. "I don't believe you."
"Actually no." Troy said biting his lip. He closed his eyes trying to control his temper. "I don't."
Chris laughed. "Oh come on, Troy. It's just as fair for you turning in my parents and I for being Vampires."
"You're dad killed my mom."
"She begged him to bite her."
Troy lashed out tackling Chris to the ground and decked him. "Shut the hell up."
