wicker, I have not told anyone how to live, tried to project an image of self importance and all knowing philosophical doinance, I am just trying to get an answer from a person who continually dodges and paries, I do not believe I have been irrational in the least
Hey man, con tray to belief i was appraising you on your particular stance on philosophy that was derived from that little quote you made.
Tell you something... I am a Democrat sympathiser, but I really do dislike the way democrats around here keep making out that anyone who voted for Bush must be an idiot.
"Why did they vote for him?" they ask. How odd. Is it SO inconceivable that they just thought he was the candidiate that better reflected their views? To try and make out that they must all be one of dumb, evil or tricked is remarkably immature. Differences of opinnion like this occur in a democracy.

I have a realistic view that the world won't change if you don't change your mind. I see a long drawn out series of wars and hate between political parties. Real enough? Got that one?
thats RIGHT! drawn out since our nation was founded.
and i wouldn't have it any other way.
As a European I’m greatly disappointed that Bush won.
However – let’s look at the bright side, ladies and gentlemen. It means Bush will have to clean up his mess in Iraq, and it will be Boy George who has to do something about the budget-deficit and unemployment in the US.
In other words – he’ll have to clean up his own mess.
And frankly: Almost half the people over there did NOT vote for Bush.

I just think this way.Do more if you aren't satisfied. See if you get it. If you get more, good
If you are not helped, ask why. If you get no answer, move.
Ahhh to be 25 again, without any real type of full term commitments to life, such as wife, children, mortgage, two car payments, health insurance, life insurance, car insurance, property taxes, school tuition, and many other things that have to be paid out.
Wow I love you're type of thinking. If you don't like what you have just move. Well it's not that easy for most Americans.

I'm definitely anti-Bush but i've not insulted the intelligence of his voters, but on the other hand i cannot get my head around why they choose him, particularly if past experiences are anything to go by.

Well, my complaint wasn't universal, but that is certainly the vibe from more than one person. The answer can only simply be that their interpretation of those experiences differs from yours.

Heh, still more than ever voted for Clinton, eh?
Bush got a plurality which is more than a lot of US Presidents get.
Maybe the words f*ck and damn are used when Bush is elected because people don't feel let down. Maybe it is just a figure of speech and no more. 🙂 I remember when Clinton was elected in 1996. My mom cried. I was mad. Wasn't legal voting age anyway, but I understood that Clinton was a good actor. At 16 I didn't think a president should be able to carry himself like that in the way he did. Good times, but policies have a turn around time of 4 to 8 years.
Most people probably know this, but in time of war there has never been a change in the president. Most people probably weren't comfortable with getting new blood in the white house during this war, felt it would be awkward to change leaders right now, and blah blah. If there wasn't a war, I think the election may have turned out differently.
