Is it just me or does the Red and Blue states remind you of the civil war?

I visited both Blue and Red states while I was in the US last time and maybe next year (if and when storm and I go to NY) I found the contrast visible but not extreme you have conservative and liberal ppl in both

The southern redneck thing isn't very accurate... There are rednecks in every state, just only in rural areas. That being said, and I mean no offense to anybody here, rednecks piss me off... I spend a lot of time out in a little redneck-y town near where I live because my family has friends out there, and some of the kids who go to the high school are complete idiots. I mentioned once that I was opposed to a measure banning gay marriage, and they looked at me like I was from Mars or something. "Why, are you gay?" No, I'm not gay, retard, that's like asking if a person opposed to racial segregation is black 🙄

Well thats not only a redneck thing. Say your opposed to gay marriage to a black or spanish person in my school and they will just label you as a homo, they wont even have the courtesy to ask. I lived in NC for two years on and off, there are some cool ass rednecks out there people just gotta get over the stereotypes. But yeah there are alot of retarded racist ones as well. Don't let it get to you, they are just going by what their "pappy" teaches them.

True that... Most of the rednecks I've met have been complete dumbasses. But I do know a few cool ones.
