Friday the 13th series

I have recently developed an interest in the Friday the 13th movies. So far, I've only seen Jason X and Freddy vs Jason. I was wondering if anyone could tell me the basic story of each of the movies in the series?

Also, could someone please answer some questions:-

1) If Jason drowned when he was a boy, how did he become a fully-grown (and very big) man when he was dead?

2) Why does he keep coming back? (besides to make money for the franchise) What makes him different?

3) Are there any sites for Friday the 13th fanfiction?

Well im a die hard Jason fan so here ya go:

1) If Jason drowned when he was a boy, how did he become a fully-grown (and very big) man when he was dead? JASON DID NOT DROWN, HE MANAGED TO ESCAPE AND LVED IN THE WOODS HE DIED FOR THE 1ST TIME IN PART 3
2) Why does he keep coming back? (besides to make money for the franchise) What makes him different? HE IS IMMORTAL (and if you suffer in life you get a life after death)

Ok explain Jason goes to Hell .. there is some demon like snake that comes out of his mouth and can enter into other peoples bodies .. controlling them

POG, a snake that is inside his body, controlling him and can jump into other bodies, humans can not naturally do this... i think that makes him a demon

Actually jason died for the first time in part 4. In part 3 he was only knocked out. He woke up in the hospital in part 4.

was definately hard to top part 4 but i like the Tommy Jarvis stories... yea part 5 is an odd entry in the story, but never the less 4,5,6 had me attatched to his character developement

What ever happend to him after part 6?

Corey Feldman (the actor) was really big in his teenage years he was In the lost boys, stand by me etc. I think he got offered a few movies and just ddnt have time or ddnt want do

what you said pissedoffgoalie about jason being immortal, that is true, but he was also born with an advanced healing factor meaning he's able to heal very fast, and he did not escape and live in the woods, at the end of part 1 he came back from the dead by jumping out of the lake in the form of a child, THEN he lived in the woods. He was dead for quiet some time.

Actually......

Jason did not jump out of the lake at the end of the first movie........it was a dream sequence.......hence the girl living. She had passed out in her canoe and had a dream (based on Pamela Voorhies' derranged ramblings).....the police found her passed out floating in the lake.

They later used this same tactic at the end of one of the other movies......where the girl falls asleep at the end and has a dream that Pamela Voorhies jumps up out of the lake. Of course this was impossible because Pamela Voorhies was decapitated and her head resides in Jason's home, with a shrine to her built around it.....but hey, anything goes in a dream.

Jason was not born with any "advanced healing factor"......he was just a retarded boy who was thought to have drown. He grew up in a cabin in the woods surrounding Crystal Lake (cabin is in part 2).......he saw his mother decapitated and went on a killing spree to avenge her death. All of this is covered in A: The Jason X dvd featurette about the series and B: at the beginning of part 3 or 4 when they are sitting around a campfire telling the story.

Jason was just a retarded guy who was pissed off that camp counselors had killed his mother.......so he killed camp counselors. He died in part 4 when Tommy Jarvis hacked him to pieces with a machete. He did not appear in part 5........he was ressurected as a zombie in part 6 when Tommy went to dig up Jason's body and lightning struck the body, ressurecting him. From that point on....he can never truly die, as he is already dead.

Do not base your interest in Friday the 13th on Jason X or Freddy vs. Jason........they are completely different movies. They center around the same character (Jason Voorhies) but that is about it.

Instead of going through one by one summing up each Friday the 13th movies........I can sum up all 8 at the same time.

- Teenagers arrive at Crystal Lake to take up duties as camp counselors
- Teenagers begin having sex with one another, drinking alcohol and smoking the weed.
- Jason kills sed teenagers
- All teenagers are killed except for one weak little girl who somehow always manages to escape death.

- Note: For part 8, substitute the words "Crystal Lake" with "New York".....substitute the words "camp counselors" with "on a field trip".

Evil Dead: I recently bought the Jason X DVD, and watched the featurette, so I know what you mean. Mind you, in the film, it is mentioned that Jason can regenerate damaged or destroyed tissue. If this is the result of a genetic mutation, it could at least partly explain how he can keep coming back.

I understood that the plot of each movie is basically the same. That's why I decided to watch Jason X first; because the future setting made it a bit different.

yes, he was BORN with the healing factor or mutated when he was very young, so thats pretty much the reason why he keeps coming back

He is speaking of in Jason X, at the beginning........they have tried a million ways to kill Jason, none have worked. They decided to freeze him. The reason they couldn't kill him is because he was already dead.......he died in part 4, Tommy Jarvis killed him. He is a zombie....he can't be killed. He will just keep coming back.

Freddy vs jason, I believe you need to go back and watch the first four movies of the series again.........it's all spelled out pretty clearly......somewhere, somehow you have missed something.

The Friday 13th series have a LOT of inconsistencies though. Part 8 changes it about completely

Hey man, I agree with your information the most. But I think Jason's body could have been exterminated a long time ago. All they had to do was put him through a wood chipper. Or something that would completely mence his body into tiny pieces. He is not a T1000. He wont melt all back together. But if they did that, they couldnt continue the story with his image. So, I understand (:
