Usually sequels are suppose to be longer than the film before or be the equal time.
There are examples such as the franchises of X-Men, Spider-Man, LOTR, and even Terminator until T3 was released.
They must have thought that Terminator was only special effects and nothing else.
ya dude 109 min only... WTF was tht.. terminator movie u NEED TIME 2EXPLAIN WHT THE FUC* IS GOING ON.... and mostow just got 109 min.. and haf u noticed tht the terminator theme in t3 is just not as good as t2.. firstly they made it sound more JAZZ(in the end)... and wht the fuc* happened2the awesome HARD-METAL sounds...

I'm not sure why they didn't use the original Terminator music from the previous films since they already copied everything else from the T1, and T2. They placed the original music in the T3 video game so I'm guessing they had the rights to it or otherwise they wouldn't have used it in the game.
