Angel slowly opened her eyes. The pain had faded when Tom had healed her. She groaned and sat up, rubbing her aching head. "What happened to me?" She tried to think back but she couldn't remember anything. Angel stretched but suddenly stopped. Something was not right. She turned around to see her back and suddenly screamed. Where her two beautiful white wings used to be, lay only scars, hideous pale scars. She trembled and cried out again, nearly tumbling off the bed she was on. She was shaking so badly she could hardly breathe. She was in such shock, her wings, her mother's gift to her, they were gone! What had happened to her?! Angel put her face in her hands and began to sob uncontrollably, the loss of her wings crushing her very heart.
Angel couldn't even block him away from her now. She was so broken now. She had no wings, something she had never experienced. She felt like she had no limbs, nor brain, no heart, nothing... She was hallow without her wings beside her. She felt stranded and lost. Why had this happened to her? Angel cryed out loudly and hugged her knees close to her, trying to hide her face behind her soft brown hair.
Sam began to worry, he didn't know what to do. He couldn't say anything, he didn't know what to say. He just stood back and watched her. "I'm... sorry." He said, turning around and pulling out his communicator. "Tom... I've got a bit of trouble over here... I don't know what to tell Angel about her wings." He said quietly.
Tom looked away from Oyoka and responded. "I'll be home soon, please take care of her until I get back." He said, putting away his communicator. He looked at Oyoka. "Are you okay?"
