Originally posted by K TragedyThe wolf hung on to every disheartening word Angel spoke. Her eyes widened slighty as she named the father, but, no. Kaze shook her head. The image she had seen was not that of love or passion, but a picture of vivid pain, or something like it. She couldn't tell the difference anymore, and if she could it was a thoroughly diluted image.
Golden orbs darted away. She curled her legs up close to her, hugging the thin limbs close to her still-thin frame. Angels tended to know when new life was created. It was their job. No wonder they had white wings like the stork. She looked down at the blood lining her feet. She didn't have the will to heal them anymore. Her arm, and Tom's obviously disappointed reaction, was enough to make her want to weep. She didn't feel well enough to have the child anymore. It had all been a mistake. A stupid, pathetic mistake. The father? She recalled his mask, his kind eyes. That soft orange hair. She could hear his laughter, and feel the leather lining his flesh. She heard the whisp of his arrows, floating round her playfully. "Speedy."
She whispered, her lips barely able to form them. Then again, she didn't know if it was speedy's or not. There was another man. He'd taken her unwillingly. Call it rape if you like, but a part of the fallen maiden actually enjoyed it.She took a deep breath, getting a mental image of her other lover. She felt the soft black hair, lining down his muscular shoulders. His perfectly toned frame, that cold smirk. He had been Satan. He was so absolutely perfect. His eyes, so blue that you could be eternally lost inside of them. She felt the silk of his bed sheets, the thrill of the orgasm, everything that had happened that one night. She whimpered, burying her face into her knees. She was a whore. A dirty whore...
A aroma filled the air, making her wings pulse softly. It was a friendly, yearning pulse. Something she hadn't felt in so long, but she had wanted to feel again. "Kaze...?" She rose to her feet, walking towards the door. She spotted the wolven creature, tears filling her eyes. "Kaze?" She blinked, the tears rushing down her cheeks. "KAZE!" She flung her arms around the wolf's neck, knowing her friend lay inside. She sobbed heavily into the peltage of the canine, gripping her tightly. Her friend had returned. Finally. Her best friend was back...
Diluted.
As was everything in her being, her mindscape, her sense of self. Slowwly she drew her eyes back up to Angel's. It pained her to see her this way, she was falling apart before her very eyes. She had went out seeking something new, and that was what she had found. Though she did not seem happy about it, a yearning deep within her must have been at the very least satisfied.
Kaze looked up at Tom then. His whole body melded wiht an aura of pain. She could smell it, see it on his face, hear it accent his voice. But what could be done? Nothing would bandage those wounds, she knew. Though she may admit it was wrong, Angel being the person she was needed that, and Kaze would always be there for her. Always. Nothing could change that or come between them.
Besides, who am I to speak of wrong doing? I sacrificed my body for what? The change to find the answers to a question I knew not of? I hurt LAnce. I don't know if the others even caredm but that should be enough for me to deserve the punishment placed upon me. Though it was not out of fear, it was out of a sinful curiosity.
She sighed, feeling quite pathetic.
Kaze's saddening thoughts diminished as soon as she felt Angel's embrace. The wolf closed her eyes, plaing one large paw over the girl's trembling shoulder. She titlted her head, giving her neck to her sobbing friend as a safe haven, and she nuzzled her gently. Without her approval a tear ran down her own white cheek, and she took her human form, biting her lip to stop her own confused tears from falling.
" It'll be alright...I promise. "
She whispered.
