*He kept staring up at the sky as he replied* I've never given up on anything in my life. I was always determined to follow my goals until they were complete, or when I had left this world. But I did.Yes, it was all real. The pain we all felt back then, and the pain we all feel now. It's real, it's not part of our imagination, it's not part of a fantasy world. It is pain we must accept and learn to deal with. Atleast, I did. And yet even today, I still feel that pain, but I learn to hold it inside, no matter how terrible it is. If it wasn't for that, I would be weeping like a newborn after first seeing light.
{ Damn 😛 }
His words touched her, but her thin shell of sanity would not easily be cracked.
Though simply the sight of Angel did just that
She thought, gazing in the same direction as Beastboy. She noted the oceanic scene which could steal even the most geographically experienced breath away. The setting sun reflected hues of orange, pink, red across the gentle waves. The wind pulled at them softly as Kaze diverted her gaze, yet again. This time it was back to Angel and Tom. Following that she set her eyes upon Lance. A sigh floated form her slightly gaping mouth.
" It is true, that you've never given up. From the time Ive known you, untill this very moment Ive understood that completely. "
She paused then, looking towards the quickly dissapearing sun.
" I just want you to understand that not only is the pain real, but the support. I can garuntee you that I'll always be there for you to come to, a shoulder to cry on. If your not comfortable , look around you. Tom, Lance...and, when she's ready, Angel.. Your surrounded by those who love and care for you, and thats not going to change anytime soon, soldier. "
She closed her eyes, a slight curve of her upper lip signified an almost invisible smile.
You are strong, Beastboy
[Wow, that post actually almost made me cry shock ]
*For once in a long while, Beast Boy smiled.* I understand completely what you mean..Thanks, that made me feel better.
*He turned and walked inside, still smiling. Now that he knew that he still had those around him, either being just friends, or mentors, he could pull himself out of this sea of pain and live his life again.*
From the ocean in front of Kaze and Beast Boy walk a form of a man. He was tall and muscular and looked as though he had just swam to the island from another country. He walked forward, his dark skin covered in seaweed and debris. "I'm sorry if I'm disturbing you... but I need a place to rest for the night." He said as he walked forward.
{petpet }
Kaze smiled. She was glad to have made him feel better. She wanted him to ba happy so badly. Such a trusting, strong character. It was unnatural to see him so down. It saddened her when he was. As he turned, Kaze's sullen gaze followed him inside. She wished to go back to Angel, but she knew it was important for Tom to share his thoughts with her, whatever they mays be. She sighed suddenly and sat down, gazing off. The sun was now completely gone, but it's light shone comfortingly.
Im alone now, but am I really?
So many confusing questions subdued her mind as she yawned, tucking her crossed legs against her chest. A sad smile was still plastered on her thinly framed face as she questioned herself the unanswerable. A gentle breeze picked up, as if trying to cheer her up. Something cold and wet pushed onto her cheek disrupted her thoughts. Ash let out a soft bark, bowing his head, and looking upward.
The dream...
She sighed softly. She knew he was going to leave no matter what, Ash, unlike herself, was only an illusion, there to help her on her journey to her own life. Tears stung her eyes as he sat before her, tilting his nose into the wind. A loud, sad howl drowned out Kaze's sudden bout of sobs as she threw her arms around the wolf's neck, burrying her face in it. Slowly, Ash dissapeared into the wind. His body seemingly departicleized into the wind, and even after he was gone, his howl continued.
" No, Ash.."
She closed her eyes tightly.
" Wait for me....wait for me. "
With that the girl took her large, silver wolf form and bolted off, following the howl which slowly dissapeared with the wind, now howling wiht the sadness inside of her. She finally came to a large clearing in the woods..it over looked the oh-so-familiar sight of a water fall and the gateway to the rest of the world, it seemed. Tears streamed down her furry cheek. It was where she hads first begun her journey with the titans.
The howl died away with the beautiful sunset.
