(Phoenix was great, I wish you all could have been there.)
The profit leaned forward in his chair and rested his chin on his hand as though in deep thought. "You seem so much stronger then The others... your will to fight for them is admirable... with such power you could do so much more then baby sit a few teens." The profit said, staring into Lance's eyes.

*dalton walks around the city*i could have sworn i heard somebody say my name
Kel finally made it to the island. "Come on... we have to go over those notes and figure out how to..." Kel stopped in the middle of his sentence, he saw something he almost couldn't believe. It was Sam, only he was real. Sam was sitting on a stone, holding a baby. Sam was looking down at the baby with tears running down his face, he looked happy, he looked as though he had been given a chance to do something truly meaningful. Kel could tell that Sam had come back for the purpose of taking care of that child, that seemed like the most meaningful thing in the world. Kel smiled and walked toward the tower.

The profit smiled. "That is so kind of you. You are truly a saint among your kind. Tell me something... would you be willing to help the likes of us... help us regain our integrity, or sense of morals... we have done wrong, but with your help we could do good for humanity." The profit said as his robed follower all bowed to Lance. "Please help us." The robed followers said in unison.
A wide grin spread across the profit's face, his eye hiding behind the glint of his glasses. "We wouldn't think of it." The profit said as he stood up and held his hands out to the robed followers. "Do you hear that my children... Lance is going help us... today is a new day!" The profit said as his robed followers began to jump and celebrate.
Make Us Scene
Angel was silent as she made her way to the grave. She was now heavily pregnant, her womb bulging with the infant contained inside. Each time it moved she would smile, knowing it was alive and strong. Still, no question lay in her mind of who the father was. She knew it was not Speedy's. He had not returned for her when he promised he would. He was in Atlantis and would remain there with Aqualad to defend the powerful city. It was a nobel cause, but an almost certain fatality may consume him. She didn't think she could bear the thought of losing another loved one.
A white rose, thorns long since removed as her feminine touch grazed across the smooth stem, was clutching lightly in her hand. The other rested upon the base of her enlarged stomach, steadying herself and her movements so no damage would come to the growing baby inside. Her footsteps were light, making no sound. Only her heart gave her away, for that she could not stop.
She came to a ceased movement, staring down at the grave. She could feel his touch on her arm, the caress of his lips against her cheek, the whisper of his voice in her ear... He had made her feel safe, he'd given her hope when she was all out of it, he'd picked her up when she'd fallen. He told her he loved her when she thought no one else cared...
"Tom..."
Tears filled her eyes when she saw his face. She kneeled down slowly, her white gown amazingly becoming undirtied by the loose soil. Her fingers dragged along the headstone, feeling the engraved letters of his name. She couldn't stop the tears from rolling down her cheeks. She wanted him there with her. She wanted him to help her raise the young being that lay untouched in her stomach. She wanted... She wanted him to love her again.
She remembered how she'd told him about her "condition" those eight months ago. How he'd looked hurt, betrayed... She couldn't get that look out of her head. She couldn't forget how she'd never even gotten a chance to say goodbye to him. Tears fell from her face, landing on the dirt and soaking into the soil. Why couldn't he come back? Why was she being torn from his grasp? She needed him...

[It's getting back up again. I'm impressed.]
*A cold, chilling wind blew across Gotham City as leaves from nearby trees blew across empty streets. A boy, in his teenage years, was walking along a sidewalk at around 2 am. He was making his way to the grave of one of his oldest and dearest friends, Tom.
Tom had been killed eight months ago by an assassin. The assassin was never found, and may still be lurking around the city today. The boy had green skin, pointy ears that stood up, small, sharp, fang-like teeth, and a purple and black suit.
As he arrived, he found a heavily pregnant girl leaning over Tom's grave. The boy watched as her tears slowly dropped onto the ground. Then the boy finally spoke up.* "How's the kid doing?"
*The boy, Beast Boy, was his name, took a couple of steps forward and smiled at her. Even though he missed Tom as much as she did, he acted as if nothing really happened.*
"I know it hurts, Angel, and it may haunt you for the rest of your life, but just remember I'm always here if you need anything, anything at all." *He smiled and her again* "Anyway, I still need an answer to my question. How's the kid doing?"
Constantly things come and go, and return again. Like the wind. Ever constant, yet ever changing. It opposes itself, and in destruction, love and truth are allowed to be born. In pain comes joy. In realisation comes pain, and in the utterly confusing dispair comes peace.
That was how it has always been for Kaze, wind wolfess of the Kazime tribe. It would never change.
The golden wolf sighed softly as she walked along the shoreline, only momentarily glancing back at the huge T shaped she had come to call a home. Her eyes narrowed slightly. Everything and everyone was different now. Beast boy...much more mature. Lance was off somewhere, and she strongly wished to see him, to sit and chat over cofee as they used to. Angel? Her best friend...It was not even the life growing inside of her that struck Kaze, but her change of heart. Every breath she took heald a certain sadness. Even Kaze herself had changed. Without Ash she had the most unhealthy desires for a companion, but never one to stay. Time and time again she had found herself using someone irrationably, wishing to be used.
As she continued walking she found herself perched on a hillside overlooking the cemetary at which Angel knelt, and beast boy beghind her. Someone else stood aside. She closed her eyes and withheald a gust before it could overtake the beautifully delicate Angel. She still wasn't too satiated about beast boy. Prior events had distorted her image of him, and now he seemed to be a sad reminder of events in her past.
Once more she sighed bitterly. She hated to think of him like that. She hated to think of anyone like that. Shaking her head, she trotted off towards her 'home'.

Once more she sighed bitterly. She hated to think of him like that. She hated to think of anyone like that. Shaking her head, she trotted off towards her 'home'.
Alex spotted a Golden wolf and followed curiously.... but held distance unsure it would strike at him
Lance reappeared on a building thinking to himself missing Kaze to know end she ran off needing time to think so he he kept his distance to respect her wishes though watched her threw the shadows he was so happy when she returned only to be hurt when she ran off he sighed as he saw a boy follow her and watched closer following Kaze till his new employers need him "perhaps i should see how shes doin...." he muttered getting up NO she wanted to be alone "wow i am talking to my self i am over stressed....
Kaze turned suddenly, stopping in her tracks. Her golden eyes shifted, and she breathed in deeply. She took her human form. She wasn't alone.
Turning back, she noted the scent that seemed closer now. She paused and drew in a nervous breath. the two scents mingled. One was foreign and corrosive, while the other was just the opposite. A shiver ran down her spine. Brushing a peice of golden hair from her similarly colored eyes, she took a step forward and spoke softly.
" Lance?...."
Lance stared alittle and thought more Perhaps.... he streached and walked into a shadow and surfaced next to her from hers "Kaze....." he muttered weakly his eye were now blackish from useing the shadows now but the irises were still a strong Saphire yet
Alex stopped and watched them "so the wolf is shapeshifter...." he muttered and walked off
She smiled and darted forward. She threw her arms gingerly around lances neck. A soft smile came and went, this being rare, she savoured the breif moment of happiness. She truly had missed her friend... Every thing was so depressing right now, and the holiday season was already here. She momentarily wondered about gifts , and then smiled once more. She was already feeling better.
" How have you been? "
She said in a weak tone. A chill ran down her spine an she shivered suddenly. It was cold without her wolf form.
