Background : Lurik Thaadeus Xaa was taken in by the Jedi Order at a very young age, and he knew nothing of his parents, or of his true origins. His name was given to him by his Jedi Master, who was named Jon Sihn. Lurik had been training ever since he was very young, (being taken in at about 4 years old), and was a very promising student. After having the title of Knighthood bestowed upon him, he was sent on a mission to put an end to a dangerous and tyrannical regime started years ago by an evil Dark Jedi. He fought the Dark Jedi, and won in combat, yet he was severely injured, and then mutilated by the angry mob of soldiers that the Dark Jedi had rallied. Bloodied, broken, and utterly spent, he was too ashamed to even show his face before the Jedi Council, and instead plunged into hiding to plot his revenge against the Dark Jedi who had destroyed him and killed his Master, and to try nurse his horrendous injuries. Eventually he had a surgery done to keep him from dying of the injuries that he could not heal, and was confined to a special suit of armor that acted as a portable iron lung. It was quite thick and heavy, yet effectively protective, and reminiscent of the Mandalorian’s combat armour. In fact, many believed him to be a Mandalorian, or that at-the-least the suit was made by the Mandalorians. Yet these were just rumours, and no one knew for sure, except perhaps Lurik. For years after his terrible ordeal, Lurik wandered as a nomad throughout the edges of Republic space, helping to solve the troubles and problems of the beings and races in the Outer Rim. He let go of his anger largely after he heard rumours on the Outer Rim that his Master was indeed alive and well, living prosperously on some unknown world helping to combat the darkness. Yet the Dark Side ever loomed as a shadow over everything he did, and it seemed to be consuming him from within. The only thing that kept him from turning to the Dark Side was what his Master had taught him, and that his Master may be yet amongst the living. Indeed, he had never felt his Master become One with the Force. Yet he had had no luck, and after the debacle of Naboo, he finally decided to the Jedi Order to help as he would.
