this movie is gonna rock so hard

Unless stupid film excecutives edit to for "creativity", so they say. Many a good script have been ruined by this.

a movie from the halo series, well there goes a waste of money. it should stay a game and not go into a movie. sorry guys, i like halo, but i think a movie of it will be a complete flop.

the same writer from 28 days later is doing the script and bungie make a bible for the movie makers to follow so that they can't mess up the story

I have heard that Peter Jackson is going to be Directing it.

Rumors say that PJ is working with Guillermo Del Toro to direct the Halo Movie project. He is considering the job after he finish with the Hellboy sequel.

That would be pretty sweet. Del Toro is a damn good director.

Only rumors for now. I wonder if Peter Jackson might also direct as well. Would be a good team up.

I'm sure after doing all of these adaptations, remakes, and what not, PJ will want to try to direct something off of his own material.

I do hear that PJ is producing this? If so, that's good news that this won't go to far into the depths of hell.

Makes me kinda wonder about the movies plot. I know i'm stating the obvious, but a thought kinda clicked on what the outline of the movie might be.

Seeing as how the running story of the Halo trilogy (games) is a continuing saga and Halo 3 (the latest game) seems to be the last Chapter, I don't think it will surprise me that the HALO Movie will have a story line encompassing all the story arcs from all 3 games.

I mean...think about it, Bungie assisted in the development of the script right, they were the ones who provided the necessary background details on weapons, characters, planets, environments, etc. They already know the conclusion of the HALO trilogy because the last game is coming out...so it sort of makes sense to me the script will follow closely to what is in the games already.

Keep in mind, i've never read any of the books so im not aware of any additional storylines in the Halo universe.

the books stick to the games... There are a few points that come about with all crossovers (game to book to film) but as a whole they are very similar...

The only thing I noticed sofar was that the film seems to say that the spartans get killed by covenent.. I believed they died when the planet got glassed (glassed is when the covenent bombard a planet with plasma will all that remains is water and sand) and MC isn't the last spartan...

I'm betting the movie will be crap because it will be directed towards kids, so it'll be covered with not-funny jokes from the grunts. (e.g. Uh-oh) And the bad guys will be totally goofy and the movie will have no suspense (see Batman and Robin) but that's the worst case scenario

Last time I checked, I don't think "kids" movies would be compared to movies such as Saving Private Ryan. 😉

yer... The script spartan 5 showed wasn't something a kid would like... I'm not sure that lvl of gore could be anything less then a 15... (starship troopers was a 15)
