Episode III: PG or PG-13? [Merged]

With al of the burnt Ani stuff & the countless linms and heads that get chopped off I honestly wouldnt be surprised if this one gets an R rating. I think it will be PG 13 but barely...

Nah, not gonna be close enough to a R rating, PG-13 most definately.

I believe it takes nudity to get an "R" these days. F-bomb used to get you an "R" but even that now only gets you a "PG-13".

ok guys, so when should we expect to get a concrete rating?

Uh if you watched the 60 minutes intrview Lucas said its going to be PG-13 and its about time because im sick of people saying Star Wars is suppost to be a kids movie when its not and Lucas even said that do not take your kids to see this movie....

Its looking to be PG-13 if you ask me, especially since Lucas says that whatever it gets, it gets, which is an awesome attitude to have. I like the fact that it will actually be adult. To the comment above, there is no way it would be rated R. Not a chance. I'm guessing it should get its rating later this month, since next month is the movie itself.

They way my friends and i see it, if it's rated PG-13, he's allowed one f-bomb. Just one. It would be cool to add that f-bomb into yoda's duel.

I'm joking, by the way.

anything deeper than a "flesh wound", also. Spilling guts and whatnot.

Maybe Lucas can release an R-rated version of ROTS if he can sneek in a shot of Padme with a 'Wardrobe Malfunction™'.

weird, i coulda sworn lucas said on the 60 minute it could POSSIBLY receive a pg-13 rating, i dunno though

I hope not, my parents would never let me see it and I would just have to die. 😛

I have pretty much come to accept that it will be PG-13. Not just because burnt Ani and severed limbs, but Ani also has the youngling thing which whether it is shown or not it will require a 13.

And don't forget Darth Sidious, a spy told a couple of month ago that the film'll be probably rated PG-13 'cause of Sidious, principaly.

Oups doubl post. sorry

It's PG-13:

‘Sith’ zapped with PG-13 rating

Saturday, April 09, 2005

A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away, all “Star Wars” movies received a PG rating.

Not anymore.

“Star Wars: Episode III — Revenge of the Sith” has been given a PG-13 rating by the Motion Picture Association of America’s Classification and Ratings Administration.

“Revenge” has received the PG-13 for “sci-fi violence and some intense images.” (One could ask, on behalf of befuddled parents, exactly what “intense images” actually means. Mostly, it means the MPAA’s ratings explanations have gotten progressively muddled during the past few years.)

The new rating means “Revenge of the Sith” contains material that “may be inappropriate for children under 13.”

Director/writer George Lucas earlier hinted his movie would be the most intense of the six “Star Wars” chapters.

“It’s not like the old ‘Star Wars,’ ” Lucas told the Associated Press. “This one’s a bit more emotional.”

The previous five “Star Wars” films all received PG ratings. Lucas’ new, more emotional episode opens nationwide May 19.

hell yea!!! PG-13 💃 💃

It better be PG-13.

Personally I'd prefer R, but I know it's not going to happen.

feck yeah! 🤘

Nope, the demise of Anakin is the reason this film gets the PG-13.
