Guns N' Roses and Velvet Revolver

Guns own. End of story.

yeah 😛

thank you. anyone that has an officially stolen metallica sig has gotta be right.

where the heck has velvet revolver gone? are they on break or about ready to go on tour or what?

They're on tour.

I think Axl Rose WAS a better frontman and singer than Scott Weiland, I don't think he still is.

I do think the band and the kind of music they play is better suited to Scott Weiland.

Contraband is their first album and as an album I think it's much more solid than Appetite For Destruction to be perfectly honest. Appetite for Destruction has some songs that were better than any on Contraband but as an album Contraband is better IMO, overall.

If Guns N Roses were still around they would never get the acclaim they got for A.F.D. I think alot of this "Best band ever" thing they get (which isn't true by a long sight I might add) is due to antiquity. They were around at a time when alot of people were having a great time and enjoying life and I would guess that the memories you strike up when hearing the songs, adds to love of the band. Nothing wrong with it but I think on talent alone, they're just very good.

They have amazing songs, but I wouldn't call any of their albums amazing as a whole.

Guns N' Roses were the best rock band, ever!

Appetite is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better than Contraband.

Every single song on Appetite is classic. None of the songs on Contraband come close to the standard of Appetite.

Jungle - awesome, what a way to announce yourself to the world
Easy - crackin'
Nightrain - lets get wasted
Out ta Get Me - Laaaaarge
Brownstone - Excellence
Paradise - Pure class
My Michelle - "Your Daddy works in porno no that Mommy's not around"
Think About You - only very good
Sweet Child - Thee. Best. Song. Ever!
Crazy - Charged up to fit in with pace of Album, Original is better
Anthing Goes - Dirty
Rocket Queen - The best closing track I've heard.

Contraband don't come close.

Sorry, ranted a bit there, didn't I?

Take Me Down To The Paradise City Where The Grass Is Green And The Girls Are Pretty
TAKE ME HOME

I don't think Sweet Child O' Mine is the best song ever by a milestone.

I adore "Rockett Queen" and "It's so easy". Both are probably my favorite songs of all time.

LOL...I love obsessed gnr fans. *hides sig* No, I'm not one. 😛

APF is GNR's only great album imo, its a classic, not a single bad song on it. The UYI's had some great songs on it but as whole albums werent exactly great.

I like both GNR and VR

Velvet Revolver is wayyyy better than Guns and Roses.

Axl can't touch Scott Weiland...or his drug problems.

Don't worry, I have absolutely no idea what the hell I was talking about... I have absolutely no recollection of this thread.

Velvet Revolver all the way....

SCOTT WEILAND IS A LEGEND!!!!!!!

Appitite For Destruction is a classic album. It was either Heavy Metal, or 80's retro during that time. AFD came in, and reserrected rock and roll. Velvet Revolver say there the only rock and roll band now, but I think their having midlife crisis and grasping for the glory days.
Weiland is overrated.

yeah and you are..?

Gun's all the way, i think the had the perfect combination of people to make an awsome sound!

Axl Rose is the embodiment of not letting go and longing for the glory days. Not Weiland.

and where is Axl now? 😕

If memory suits me correctly Axl was the problem child that drove Guns and Roses to drop their tour resulting in their break up.

But in GnR's defense against, Velvet Revolver hasn't been together long enough to go through all the trails and tribulations that most groups go through.

Their first CD is awesome and in my opinion can go toe-to-toe with just about any GnR CD...but GnR didn't make JUST one good CD.
