Yeah the Tag Division sucks at the moment.
We used to have Outlaws, Edge and Christian, Hardyz, Dudleyz, Too Cool (the GOOD Too Cool not this rubbish version on Smackdown) and Rock and Sock, all fighting at one point. That was awesome.
Nowadays they split up promising tag teams before they even get started or get any sort of definition of character. As much as I like Shelton Benjamin and think that in terms of WRESTLING he is ready, but he has NO character. The Hardyz, and Edge and Christian garnered their characters by staying in the lower-ranked Tag divisions for a while. This is what they should have done with The Worlds Greatest Tag Team.
They got it right with Dupree, his character is great, he got it sorted out BEFORE his push started. Benjamin is still just Shelton Benjamin, no character.
We need more of these over-the-top characatures, it's what brings us as fans in. The Undertaker for example has a huge following because of his character. They need to make something special up for Benjamin and FAST.

Yes! What's going on? Are they making up the rules as they go?
Smackdown is abysmal compared to Raw.
Sometimes Smackdown is like what Heat used to be years ago. My how the mighty have fallen.
Rumors have been making rounds that talks between Sting and Lex Luger have been heating up as of late. We have the full story on such talks.
Firstly, Sting and WWE have not had any serious discussions in a long time. The basic feeling in WWE is that Sting is not the type of guy WWE should bend over backwards to contract, but if the right idea comes up creatively, he could prove beneficial. Goldberg, for instance, was in hot demand around the time he was signed; WWE's current interest in Sting isn't even near that level. Nonetheless, he still would be welcomed into WWE if a deal could be made.
However, Sting has been making it clear recently that if WWE were to do something with Lex Luger as well, and have them appear alongside one another, he'd be interested in signing. This is a change from Sting's past anti-WWE standpoint, although is not totally surprising since WWE has such a huge weight in the wrestling world that it's hard to completely immune oneself from potentially showing interest in a WWE deal. In defense of Sting, however, he really is only showing interest if WWE signs Luger, as otherwise, he's more happy spending time with family.
Lex Luger has not been particularly courted by WWE in recent times, and has actually been portrayed in a negative light on WWE's website and Confidential program. However, WWE's firm stance with the Austin issue shows how serious they are in getting the upperhand in negotiations, now that there's no WCW, so it would be surprising if Lex Luger got a really lucrative deal since he's not presently in his best wrestling shape. Again, while there have been no major talks recently, it's possible a deal could be reached down the road, although not necessarily a likely scenario at this point.
The latest word on the Bret Hart to WWE situation is that many backstage are expecting a deal to be reached between Bret and WWE by the end of the year.
Sources claim that Bret Hart has requested two things before agreeing to a deal with WWE. Firstly, he wants rights to his footage for home videos. He also is now interested in returning in some sort of storyline where he saves face by getting some sort of one-up over HBK or Vince McMahon, before saying goodbye (properly) to his legion of WWE fans.
Originally, Bret was completely against a storyline return, but now it seems that he might be interested in doing something to finally conclude the fallout from the 1997 Montreal Screwjob. He would still likely make his farewell speech.
The latest SmackDown! release on PS2 will not be titled Word Life as originally rumored. Rather, it will be "SmackDown! vs. RAW."
THQ announced the game today, leaving details in secrecy, aside from the fact that an abundance of new game modes have been added, and the graphics are expected to be much more realistic than in past SmackDown! games.
As always, the game will release Q4 2004. We hope to get much more information on this game in the coming weeks.
