Tho you have to admire Watterston for knowing when it was time to call it quits - rather than churning out the same old shit year after year.

True story: Somebody once asked me how I'd be able to tell if I met exactly the right girl for me; and I said one of the things that would be a prerequisite would not only be that they had to like C&H, but they had to be able to answer the "Hobbes question" to my satisfaction!

Which might explain why nobody wants me...

Yes, I can imagine that I would have marketed it at the first opportunity. You really don't find that kind of artistic integrity very often.

I own every C&H story, including ones that were not put in the books. My godsister collected the really old newspaper ones. I have all the books. I'm still going to buy the 2005 hardcover collection.
