Yeah, that sure was interesting. And the third one I think is really strong. The thing is, those movies didn't suffer from "sequel problems" much at all until the 4th "unmentionable one." I thought the first 15 minutes or so of Temple of Doom was retarded beyond belief, but other than that, they pretty much kick ass.

Lucas needs a beatin'.

1 through 3 are untouchable classics.

That fourth movie I don't even regard as canon. 😛

Well, maybe if they pretend like the 4th never happened and Spielberg is able to slap Lucas on the hand when he needs it, it will be worth it.

However, the unmentionable 4th film actually was quite financially successful and even had pretty decent reviews (suck, though it did), so they might not be aware of how bad it actually is. This does not bode well for #5. 🙁

Well with South Park's 'The China Problem' and now Plinkett unleashing our complaints for us to their ears, hopefully they'll listen.

The line that really got to me was Koepp telling Spielberg: you have to make this movie like the others didn't exist!!! WOOOHAHAHAHA.

Yeah if that was the case, why name it as an Indiana Jones movie and have the cast in it.... why not new name/new movie?

He has a thing of trying to force old ideas into new movies. The whole shiny spaceship thing in the PT, Amidala's ship... he wrote a shiny spaceship in the very first drafts of Journal of the Whills... he is that tenacious.

Nah, the emotionless poop is something of his old age. I think he's trying to mask it with old ideas.
