Yes apparently the special edition does away with such suckery.

Highlander 2 special edition does indeed do away with them being aliens.

Now if only they could have taken out Michael Ironside's character, John C McGinley's character, most of the supporting cast, Sean Connery's character and or rewrite the entire remaining movie, they'd have a classic...

...maybe.

Stupid how they did it in the first place make them aliens......Set something up a certain way and then change it

sounds like someone else these days............Mr Lucas.

It seems so.

Maybe he's secretly been talking with Russell Mulcahy.

Maybe they are one and the same?

Absolutely..! When the quadrilogy came out, I would regard the Alien/Aliens/Alien3 arc as a trilogy for the 1st time... Still not a fan of Resurrection though.

Yeah, me neither. I'm a great from of Jeunet though... but this film just doesn't suit him. It had a few gritty moments like when they see all the failed cloned versions... but on the whole a bit to crude and grotesque for Alien.

Yeah it was clunky. But in a clunky movie it fit, I guess.
Those dodgy looking CG aliens they used in some shots didn't help much either.

Nope. I did like the underwater aliens though, a bit CGI-ish as they were, but the concept was nice.

Yeah...maybe a TPM Yoda style update could sort those..

Kinda funny if you watch the Quadrilogy/Anthology box docs... Alien4 is the only one that was made without any major arguments and problems... And all in all it was the weaker one.

Yup

Kinda makes a point.

Beautiful things being born from struggle?

Well yeah... although I doubt Cameron's struggle with the brits would not have really influenced the movie. He just does what he thinks is best.

Yeah he sure didn't like that tea lady. 😛

Hehehe....

Or that 1st lighting guy...

He didn't like any of the brits I think.

Ha.

Hehehe
