Oh my god I just saw it on the news, they were talking about it and said the kid is in critical condition, and they had a phone number you can call if you have any information about who left the glass there, one for the police station and one for the church. I can't believe this, I am literally shaking right now. My parents invited the family over for a christian get together because they feel bad for them, and the kids family is coming over to my house today to eat and pray. I'm so afraid I have no idea what to do because I don't want to get into trouble

why do I smell bull shit?

and if you are telling the truth and the kid dies just say something like you knocked the glass over and were going to tell someone about it.. dont say "oo yea it was me i was messing around in thier and did it" and if the kid lives just forget about it and keep your mouth shut

also.. how old are u

I've been doubting the truth of this story, but now I'm going to outright question it.

That aside, they're taking it a bit far...if this is all true, of course.

Who put the glass down their throat?

When you were in pre-school you probably chewed on Legos. Did you ever chew on glass?

Oh my God...it's a CHILD. YES, kids put things in their mouths, but to say that he DID IT TO HIMSELF is a load of sh'it. Yes, you can blame the teacher, but to say the child did it to themselves is utterly ridiculous.

ok, this got a lil....far fetched now.
But if it is true, just claim the boy you made the mess in the house of god, therefore its gods responsibility to clean up. He can part the seas but he cant sweep up glass?

Kids put things in their mouths. No shit. I have a three year old sister and she puts all sorts of stuff in her mouth. So you know what we do? We don't leave stuff laying around!

The teacher should have been watching the kid better...and the broken glass shouldn't have been there to begin with.

Grow up. Just tell the truth. You don't want to get in trouble? IF this is true, there is a child that could die. GROW The hell up and accept your responsibility.

And exactly what is wrong with that?
I personally am WAY more concerned for this kids soul & mental well being than legal history.
We should 'take down our maturity level to that of a teenager'? Gimme a break. Let me hear you say that when you have kids..and isn't moral maturity part of the normal grwith process?
And yes, most definitely we should blame the preschooler (i know you were being sarcastic) .... Good Lord. How insane must our society get before it implodes on itself?

Yeah I am sure he will be saying "gee golly at least I feel good about myself" as he is sitting in jail for the next 20 years on manslaughter of a minor or some random charge.

Bilb...we live in a world of "let's blame someone else" which really is quite sad.

then who did it to him?

As ridiculous and heartless as it sounds....it's the truth.

I'm not blaming him, I'm just making him responsible for his actions.

How come none of his other friends were found munching on glass?

He's a preschooler not a 2 year old.

DO NOT EVEN GO THERE, DUDE.
There are other threads for that line of thought...

And why shouldn't he? I can see you're an awfully moral person. If he contributed to this child's position, then he SHOULD be held accountable.

Why don't we make this easy? We have a potential criminal situation here, the Mods have IP addresses, and an incumbent responsiblity in this case to report it.

Preschoolers are generally 3-4 years old.

And he could have only eaten the glass if it was there. No glass, no kid munching it.

Better than the alternative...trust me

well, i don't think the kid is concerned of who put the glass there.... the society wants to know 😬

but it is an act of maturity if you do so....and it'll make you feel better about it, i guess. again, not thinking about the consequences this would have for you, if someone else found out and told them.... 😬

lmao.. you really think the mods could do anything in this situation? lol please.

How so? The alternative would be he lived a long life.. maybe has a family and a job and good kids.. he will have this guilt on his head but if he goes to church asks for forgiveness ect. he will not be held accountable.. also its not like he walked up to the kid and stabbed him in the throat.. he shouldnt feel all THAT bad about it.

or he could rot in jail and have MURDERER on his record for the rest of his life

No..this is about personal responsibility

When I have kids, if I'm a bad enough parent that I can't teach my kid not to put glass down the back of his throat then it's my own damn fault, not whoever broke the glass in the first place.

What exactly is fessing up going to do?

Is it going to magically cure the child? Is it going to prevent him from dieing?

I said try bringing down your maturity level to Cosmics in order to gain an understanding of his situation....something you have obviously neglected to do....

We shouldn't blame the preschooler, but the preschooler, just like any other human being should be held responsible for his own actions.

There are hundreds of preschoolers each day that see broken glass....all but one of them are responsible enough to stay away from it. Yet not the one that eats it...

They just got here, the family is in our house, and the pastor and his wife is here too
