The moon came out from behind some clouds and filled the dormitory with glowing light, as Harry drifted off to sleep! The night was peaceful and except for a few mice running around outside, nothing disturbed Harry.
Harry woke early in the morning to find the room flooding with light but everyone still in bed. He felt strange and then remembered about last night and the letter.
He didn’t feel as bad as he had last night Harry came to the conclusion that it wasn’t that important but secretly knowing it was. He jumped out of bed as Ron turned over and mumbled something about Potions Class, which made Harry dread this year a bit.
He quickly chucked on some cloths, which were on the ground from last night and made his way down the stairs and out of the dorm.
Harry walked into the Common Room and even though the sun was out there was frost on the window. The Common Room was nearly empty at this hour except for someone sitting on the couch infront of the fire.
Harry crossed the room to find Hermione sitting there, reading a book. He was please to see her.
“Morning.” He said, as he walked over and sat next to her. Hermione jumped alittle. “Morning Harry.” She answered, putting down her book. There was another awkward silence between them and Harry couldn’t help but wonder why. He had always gotten on great with her.
May be it was because he was falling for her, he thought.
He couldn’t help his hand shooting to his mouth as he relised what thought had just ran through his head.
Hermione obviously wondered what was going on inside his head, but refrained from asking.
“I was thinking” Harry began. “When everyone catches up in the DA and I’ve taught everything I can, then we should see if Dumbledor can teach us, I mean we’re allowed to have the DA, so why not? He asked, but Hermione just sat there, hardly any expression on her face.
Harry then noticed a piece of paper in her hand.
“What’s that?” He asked and indicated to the paper.
Without a word, she silently handed over the paper, which Harry took with suspicion.
He starred at it for several minutes before asking,
“Hermione, why do you have a piece of paper with nearly all the Gryfindor students on it?”
She looked at him, a smile emerging.
“That’s what I found this morning.” She stated. “It’s the paper with everyone who wants to join the DA, nearly everyone does.” Harry couldn’t believe it, he thought might be one or two people, but not everyone.
Not only was excitement burning up, but also nervous, he was going to have to teach at least 3 times this many people as he had last year.
Hermione seemed to read his mind,
“Don’t worry Harry, I’ll help you organise everything.” She reassured him and touched his hand.
A shock of lightening went though him and he shot a glance at her.
