. Harry couldn’t complain, it felt right when she touched him. She quickly drew away to Harry’s displeasure and they sat in silence for awhile.
The only sound which was heard was the fire crackling infront of them and the Common Room clock stroked 7 O’clock.
Harry felt like he better say something,
“So…. Er…are you going to try out for the quidditch team?” He asked.
Hermione just looked at him like he must be crazy.
“Hahaha you must be joking.” She half asked but by the serous look on his face he wasn’t. “Well, Harry, Im not athletic or anything, I don’t think I’d have a chance!”
She half laughed and started to go red.
“Well, think about it at least. Im going to have try outs later this week and get ready to play Slytherin.” HE said, now standing up. “Do you wana go get some early breakfast? He wondered as she stood up in agreement.
They made their way out of the portrait of the Fat Lady who was very annoyed to be woken up.
They reached the marble staircase and noticed it was deserted. Even though they didn’t have class today, Harry thought some people might be up early. He noticed that it seemed different with out the twins here, he never got around to seeing their shop and decided to go see it straight away with their first trip to Hogsmeade.
They came through the huge Entrance Hall, and emerged in a great hall. The sky had changed greatly from last night and was now a bright beautiful pink sky.
Harry moved his gaze to the front of the staff table where there was only Dumbledor up there. Apart from him and one other person the place was deserted.
They took a seat in the middle of Gryfindor table and as soon as they did, a great selection of food of their plates, everything from toast, eggs, bacon, sausages, juice, muffins, fruit; it was 100% different to the Dudley’s diet breakfast.
As they made a dent in the food, Dumbledor appeared next to Harry, which gave him quite a fright and sent some food flying.
“Good morning Ms Grander, Mr Potter!” He said, in a joyful morning voice. He still avoided Harry’s eyes, but instead looked Hermione as if he were having a heart full conversation with her.
“As you can see most of the school, and also teachers for that matter are having a sleep in, so I was wondering if you wouldn’t mind if I joined you?” Hermione looked trilled at the idea and immediately agreed. Harry on the other hand didn’t really look forward to a whole conversation in which Dumbledor not looking at him.
Dumbledor sat down at the Gryfindor table next to Hermione and straight away a huge golden plate and Goblet appeared infront of him, ready to be filled.
They ate mostly in silence, as the sun on the roof slowly started to rise up into the sky and shine down onto the tables.
Harry had nearly finished the huge amount of food which was once all on his plate and felt like he better say something.
“So…er…Professor Dumbledor, Hermione and I were wondering, if after we’ve…”He looked at Hermione and the way she had her eye brows raised, he have made a mistake. “After I’ve…”He corrected. “Tough everyone all I know and they’ve mastered it, if you could may be teach us? I mean you’re teaching us Defense against the Dark Arts, but this something extra!” He finished, facing Dumbledor. Dumbledor then suddenly did something he hadn’t done in again, he turned and he looks Harry straight into the eyes.
Once again, he noticed that Dumbledor wasn’t getting any younger, he looked older then last night and seemed to be getting older over night.
“I would love to come and help you out. Nothing would be much better then to help along side ‘Thy Harry Potter’.” He answered, he had a sparkle in his eyes and he winked.
Happiness flooded through him as he reached for more bacon, we finally have Lord Voldermort where we want him, he thought. Right infront of our army, Dumbledor’s Army.
Hermione and Dumbledor ate the rest of their breakfast in silence as people started to wake up and come down for breakfast.
“Well, I better be going up to meet the staff after their sleep in. Thank you very much for letting me have breakfast without and …er…” He stared to search through his many pockets for something which made both Hermione and Harry were curious about. After many pocket searches he pulled out a blue envelop with the Hogwarts crest on it. It was addressed to Dumbledor but the handwriting looked formiliar. “Harry, I received an Owl late last night and it was from your Aunt. She seems to be under the expression that you left her letter behind on purpose. She sent it to me to give to you! I really do suggest that you read it!” He stated, and handed Harry the letter.
As Harry went to grab it, he touched Dumbledor’s hand, and quickly pulled away. Dumbledor seemed he noticed it as well and with a buzzar look he made his way up to the staff table.
Harry sat there for a moment, the letter still clutched in his hand and only spun around by Hermione’s voice.
